Hello dear Hiveans. Recently I was borrowing the wide-angle lens for quite a few weeks, but today was Saturday, and I changed that. I put back my good old friend -- 150mm Sigma telephoto, and, ummm! I missed macrophotography so much. I lended a few toys from my babygirl, a handful of dices, a few ditched server harddrives (used them as a background - worked out excellent!) ... and for a few hours I was arranging all the stuff in different ways, and taking pictures. Ummmm! (All done by means of a natural lighting which I always prefer).
When the sun disappeared from my window, my wife asked me to prepare her a coffee, and I gladly executed that request -- the coffee turned out great this time (here I should add: as always! -- but that would not be true... as an analogue process, it always have fluctuations resulting in slightly different product).
So.
What I wanted to present you, is my spices habit/addiction. And having macro lens on, and more than that, having some mood for tinkering with macro stuff, I created a corresponding picture -- especially for publication in this community. Exclusive!
Last time I shared my cup of coffee here, community founder asked me what spices do I put into coffee. Well, I have two recipes (one, including lavender and fennel and cardamom, will require a special post which surely I will do one day). Another recipe is almost my everyday, I mean, very usual one, and its not a recipe in theharsh sense of the formula; it is just an asset I choose from, sometimes I dont have certain ingredients in my stocks, and simply omit it from production... sometimes I dont want all of it and go a lazy minimalistic way. I mean, coffee do not require all of it, I just add 3-4-5 positions from the list. For example, today's coffee did not include the Star anis and Cinnamon.
So, what's on my list:
- Ginger! its a 100% must for me.
- Cinnamon (whole pieces of the bark, not grinded).
- Nutmeg - its a very good component, but it requires a bit more efforts to grind it, so sometimes I omit it, especially when I am in a lazy mode.
- Cardamom - a must! goes very well with coffee.
- Star anise... I am fascinated with its outlook and I am obsessed with it, to say the truth. But I admit that this is not a 'must' component, easily can be omitted... but I like it.
- 2-3 cloves... not a very necessary one, actually.
- dried Orange peel (a tiny slice of it, to get more aroma).
- Black Pepper - sometimes (very rarely) I add a few black pepper grains, when I want coffe to be especially dark and harsh.
- Sugar. yes, I like coffee to be sweet very much. And I am convinced preparing it altogether with sugar benefits to its taste.
