An enchanting trip with coffee and cocoa flavor
Life is rewarding when it comes to traveling. We can visit many beautiful places, some of which seem taken from the imagination of a poet or painter.
I am not one of those people who travel a lot. Not because I have any phobia of going out on the road, either because of any probable danger that may happen when traveling, but because there is no money and the pocket must be overflowing for any taste that we have on the road or the destination. Haha.
I traveled to visit a niece who had been in another state for three years. He invited us to spend a few days at his house. It was a wonderful experience in every way.
When we travel, we can visit beautiful places and enjoy the delicious food of each region. This time was no exception; We enjoy delicious preparations that delight the palate.

We went to many places, but one caught my attention. It was the first time I saw a place like this. It was an outdoor cafeteria set up in a cocoa plantation. I must say that I had never seen a cocoa plantation so close, and I was amazed.
Seeing all those trees loaded with thousands of cocoa fruits was an incredible experience, and the scenery from the lookout was spectacular. That wonderful painting filled the view, and I could understand how the soul feels free and very peaceful in unique places like that.

After delighting in the view of those beautiful landscapes, it was time to delight the palate, and the stomach was about to reveal itself, so we sat at a large and somewhat rustic table. I must say that it was not the most elegant place, but in that hot area, sitting outside was a delight of freshness.
My niece ordered some cold coffee with cocoa. They had a very peculiar name that I do not remember well, but it was the dialect of those distant lands. They served us in pretty cocoa-shaped cups. The cup was big and heavy, so I didn't lift it much. Luckily, a straw accompanied the drink.
What can I say about that cold appetizer? I just loved it. The palate witnessed a myriad of flavors found in that drink. The smoothness of the cocoa and the energizing bitterness of the coffee paired very well. I must say that the crushed ice was finally a refreshing blow in that infernal heat that had me sweating profusely.

To accompany the drinks, they gave us some delicious empanadas with yucca. The truth is that I had never tasted an empanada of that style, but I loved the taste. It was something different from what I had tasted. It was a wonderful experience of flavors and discoveries. That's what it's all about when we go to a place: to experience new flavors and tastes.
After finishing the delicious coffee drink with cocoa and the incredible empanadas, we ended our adventure of flavors, beautiful landscapes, cocoa, and coffee. As we left the place, a visitor surprised us out of nowhere. It was a beautiful toucan that perched on a wooden railing.
A bird that I had never seen physically, a wonderful deep black combined with the beautiful colors of its beak. I prayed that the toucan wouldn't leave before I could take a photo of it, and luckily, I did. It seemed to like it because it stayed still for a long time. Then a waiter scared it away because a child started crying at the sight of that big toucan.
Thus ended my visit to these beautiful lands, full of amazing landscapes, exotic foods, and unusual drinks. I loved the experience and hope to return someday.
Thank you for joining me on this journey of memories and flavors.
