Remember how sometimes you won't have anything planned to eat and then the idea of what to eat suddenly hits you?
Well, my day didn't start off so well. For starters, it rained all through the night. Don't get me wrong, I love rain but only if I get to stay indoors all day. But that wasn't the case for me as I had to go to work which is already making it not “too good day” and to make matters worse, I woke up late.
As soon as I saw the time after waking up, I rushed into the bathroom to have my bath. I quickly got dressed and got set to go to work. The rain had stopped but the weather was still a bit cloudy, so I took my raincoat with me.
The day went by faster than I expected. I tried to have a good day but something kept telling me I missed something. Like there was something I hadn't done. After work ended for the day, I took my bag and headed home. I got home and sat down on the chair in my sitting room, then it hit me, “I hadn't planned what to eat for dinner”.
“Oh No”, I said aloud as I placed a hand under my chin, contemplating what to eat. I furrowed my brows, already thinking of the stress of going out again to get what to eat. I was in that state when I suddenly heard the sound of rain drizzling outside.
“Really? I said, rolling my eyes as I stood up to go to the kitchen. The sudden change in weather means I have to prepare myself a hot cup of coffee. I checked my coffee stash and I couldn't find any. I had run out of coffee?
“Noooooo, I cannot catch a break”, I muttered, as I ran my hands through my hair, feeling exasperated. Then I realized, I didn't have any coffee that morning as well. Now I see why I was finding it difficult to concentrate and forgetting things.
I waited a bit for the rain to subside and I quickly wore my rain coat and grabbed my keys and went off to the local store around me. I wasn't able to get a bus on time but I did manage to get one.
I got to the store and bought bread, milk, eggs and of course Coffee. I got a smaller tin size as I didn't plan it. I would be getting a larger size later on.
I got back home and started preparing the food and in no time it was ready just as the power supply was restored. “Yes! Finally!, I screamed, glad I would get to continue the movie I was seeing the day before.
I quickly freshened up and sat down to enjoy my meal, fried eggs and bread while washing it down with my hot cup of coffee. Hmmm, I breathe a sigh of satisfaction. I smiled as I took the plates back into the kitchen before continuing my movie.
Huh! It was a good day after all. It was unplanned but it turned out perfect.
