Hello, very good morning, coffee community, @cnnccf, @cinnamon cup coffee. Happy start of the week to all.
As time goes by, when we have some habit, we make it more personal until it becomes an inseparable part of your activities, that happened with coffee. When I go out, even if I don't think about it, and I pass by an establishment where they sell coffee, I go in. Before ordering or sitting down, I have the habit of looking at the space where the utensils and coffee machines are arranged.
In my house, I make my coffee in our Greka style coffee maker; but when I go out and have coffee, I make sure that it is in an EXPRESS® coffee machine or in any other NESCAFÉ® brand coffee machine. If I don't see both or either of them, I go out. Likewise if I don't know the place and/or have never had coffee there, I usually ask for a black coffee, because that is the base. If the coffee is not good, usually any of the combinations with that coffee I will assume it is not good for me.
In any case, in any establishment where I usually drink coffee, I like black coffee, strong and without sugar. When, in rare cases, I ask for a marroncito I always make it clear that it must have strong coffee and in more quantity than milk. When I am offered sugar,... I pass. Combinations of coffee and milk, for me, tend to be very unusual. Most of the time, I don't like it; except for coffees that I already know and that have cream or liquor in them.
In the center of the city where I live, Cumaná, they opened an establishment where you can have a good coffee. The place is open to the avenue, which makes it very busy. You can hear and be close to the passing of vehicles and people; the noise of the street, air and natural light makes you be in contact with the typical atmosphere of the city.
This place is very traditional. They don't sell much variety of coffees, like gourmet coffees, but they make you feel in the heat of the coffee and the atmosphere. As a Cumanesa, born here in Cumaná, I like it.
The staff is very friendly and familiar. The service is cordial and from what I observed there are people who are already regular customers, because they know their tastes for coffee. As you can see, we ordered American cappuccino. I ordered mine with a little extra coffee. It was really very good. They grind the beans just before brewing. So the aroma permeates the hectic air that the place shares with the city.
As well as the taste for details in the café itself, it is the company. I am usually accompanied by Andrés, my son. We enjoy a lot and sometimes we like to buy something to go with the coffee. That accompaniment is usually very, very varied. It depends on the time, the place, the mood. Today we decided on some bananas and a sesame and raisin sandwich; does that sound like a strange accompaniment? Well, it is very good. You have to try this combination someday. Salty and sweet.
As always it was a very good experience. A pleasant and relaxing moment that makes you remember the importance of each moment. As always, it has been a pleasure writing for this community. Greetings and even a new coffee.
