Hi! It's me sheeniiee!
There's always this cravings after 3 hours of listening to class and to the lecture. After class today, my friends and I decided to stop by a small coffee stall just across our school in Cebu called Isla. We’ve passed by it a couple of times before, but today felt like the perfect time to finally try it. It’s a cute little stall with a wooden vibe, and you can already smell the coffee from a distance.
We lined up for a bit since there were also other students getting their caffeine fix. Honestly, I think half of the school probably passes by Isla after class. The place is super chill and their menu has a lot of options, but of course, we had to try their bestsellers.
I went with their iced matcha espresso, which I heard a lot of good stuff about. It looked really pretty in layers—green matcha at the bottom, creamy milk in the middle, and ice floating on top. My friend got the iced coffee with the same layered look. Both of them were sooo good! The matcha was not too bitter, just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. I can see why it’s a favorite.
I also tried their merry matcha which is so good and looks aesthetically good. We just stood by the counter while sipping our drinks, laughing about random things from class and how tired we all were. There was something about that moment—cold drinks, the wooden table, and our uniforms still on—that made it feel like a perfect break from the usual busy day.
It’s always nice to have small moments like this in between all the school stress. Just good coffee, good company, and a few minutes to breathe before heading home or starting on assignments. We might make this a regular thing after long classes. Next time, we plan to try their iced caramel and maybe grab a pastry too if they have some.
If you’re ever in Cebu and happen to walk by Isla, you should definitely stop and try their drinks. Matcha lovers, this one’s for you. This is such a refreshing drink after class and I'll definitely add this coffee stall as one of my favorites. It's so good.
