There's comfort in something that feels so familiar.
Staying on the same thing over and over again might seem boring for some people, because that’s actually true. However, there’s also some comfort in things that are quite familiar to us. I know we can't exclude coffee from this conversation. Some people might loves to exploring different types of coffee and enjoying the experience. But others might prefer to enjoy the same coffee over and over again because it just feels.. enough?
I definitely experienced the latter. Going to the same coffee shop that has the same menu selection, somehow felt satisfying in its own way. A place I could always rely on. Menu that wasn’t updated might feel less innovative, but then again, there’s something comforting about it. With a limited menu, means I don’t have to consider which one to choose. Not trying to relate it directly, but it somehow feels a bit like minimalism in some ways.
Eliminating choices allow me to rely on this particular coffee shop as my go-to place. It’s called Jokopi, and I’ve written about it before, but this one spefically is the location I visited the most. This coffee shop is not large, it’s simple, but provides some coziness, at least for me. You can expect the menu they serve, you can expect the music they play, and you can expect how productive or relaxed you will be while you’re there.
Its simple interior design is probably one of the reasons why some people prefer this coffee shop among many. The interior contains wood materials with dominant brown and white colors. The seating is simple too, there are table for groups, as well as individual tables with simple long sofa as you can see below. So this coffee shop is not only narrows down my choices due to its menu selection, but also helps reduce visual clutter due to its simple layout.
Jokopi also offers an outdoor area if you need some fresher air. You can see the road, and there’s also a small river accros the street. The view isn’t particularly great, but maybe that's enough if the indoor area gets you tired from the crowds when there are many visitors at the same time. The only nice view might be those shady trees that growing around the river area, so you can enjoy them while sipping your coffee.
Thanks for reading :) have a great day!
