A cappuccino to pass the blackout

Nothing like a cup of coffee to take your mind off your troubles. A good sweet and some caffeine can make the difference when, for example, there is a power outage. These past few weeks have been a bit tense: work, collective stress and constant power outages. Of course, I'm looking for activities to relax a bit, and there's nothing better than a cappuccino to ease the day.

After walking around and multitasking, I stopped by to buy a cappuccino at a nearby store. There is a coffee that is very fashionable in the region, and which I once tried: it is the brand Mahmood. They gave it to me almost boiling, and I took it home because, without a doubt, I do not like to drink it in the street. In this post I will tell you why a simple cappuccino can help me revitalize my body.

I got home and the cappuccino was still warm. I reached for some cookies I had in the cupboard and accompanied my drink. It was still very early, and of course, I had no power. With no chance to check the internet or sit down to do my work chores, I went to de-stress in my temple of breeze and good shade: my garden. The cappuccino was very concentrated, this time I think they added less cinnamon. I drank without thinking so much about how difficult a blackout can be and even more so when it is repeated several times a week.

Sometimes I read to go with my coffee, but this time I just drank it with the company of a few cookies. I don't know if you guys do it, but I usually sigh when I take the first sip. It feels like you get back everything you've lost, and an affable tranquility embraces your soul. The cappuccino was quite tasty even though I don't usually drink it this way. The electric energy was still not coming, so I drank it slowly, to enjoy it to the fullest.

Since most of the city I visit is without power, it is difficult to see a coffee shop because of the heat. In addition, people tend to be very stressed and crowd almost every place to try to have lunch or look for some mobile signal to finish their work. For this reason, I have taken the habit of taking my coffee home and enjoying it in personal tranquility. The brand Mahmood continues to surprise me with the quality of its coffees; of course, the detail also lies in the way it is prepared. I usually ask the barista not to add so much sugar: sometimes they look at me with some hatred, hahaha.

This is already the second Mahmood brand cappuccino I have brought home. The first one was a gift from my aunt and to be honest, on that occasion I wanted to drink another cup. I ordered a package of powdered coffee of that brand to prepare it personally, although I was told that it comes in different presentations. I particularly like the traditional coffee powder.

Does coffee relieve you in stressful situations?

For me it's like a therapy: I can't do without coffee or some of its derivatives. In these times of anger in my country, the best thing I can do to relax is to drink coffee in my garden, sighing while looking at my tulips. You don't know how much that helps me... after all, drinking coffee is like swimming in gold: you never feel bad for doing it.
