STMJ - A Traditional Drink

STMJ is an abbreviation for Milk, Eggs, Honey and Ginger. These are the ingredients used to make traditional drink which are popular and many people like it in Indonesia. STMJ is such a healthy drink that is often used as an alternative drink when the body is not healthy, or is often consumed when the weather is cold or rainy.
Yesterday, when I traveled to Bandung, specifically in Lembang, Bandung, West Java, I found a cafe that not only sold coffee as their menu, but also this traditional drink. I had heard about this traditional drink before but had never tried it because I felt strange about the combination of ingredients. I thought the eggs would made that drink taste fishy.
However, this time I want to have the experience of tasting the taste of this drink. This was also triggered by the cold weather in Lembang, so there was no harm in ordering this drink to maintain my body's stamina so I could go on an outing with my work colleagues.
STMJ - A Traditional Drink by Sky Garden Caffe
The name of those caffe was Sky Garden. Besides provides the coffees and snacks, they were provided the delicious STMJ. For get this menus I have to waited more long than my friend who was ordered a hot cappucinno.
They were served the hot STMJ in a cute and aesthetic mug. With the white color of that water made me wanna taste it directly. But I thought have to waiting for a minutes due to those hot water.
While be in waiting, I tried to taste these snacks. It was Mushroom crispy or fried mushroom.
- The Taste
Finally when I was tasted the STMJ, it was like a mint. The taste was normally a mint dominant, like you taste the packaged honey sold commercially to soothe the throat. I thought they used those kind of honey instead original honey. Cause the original honey could not taste like mint.
But surprisingly, I thought before that the taste would be dominant of fishy, but the barista make this drink unfishy.
When I tasted it first gulp, it was strange, but in the next gulp till the end of the drink, it was nice and delicious.
I think I have to taste the original STMJ from a hawker than the fancy barista.
For first experience in new menu, I think it was worthy. By the way for one cup of STMJ I charged to IDR 25.000. I think It was not too expensive due to the another drinks charged to twofold.
