Hello everyone, I hope you are very well, today I want to confess my first experience trying to be a barista hahaha. And this is the part where I take my hat off, as we say in Venezuela, and I admire those people who dedicate themselves to this art.
I am impressed by the work that the experts do in creating designs in the coffee, which seem to be painted with a brush and it is only the movement of the hand and a lot of practice, I wanted to try it because I have seen several times how they do it and I thought it would come out the same.
So I prepared the hot milk, in a separate cup I heated my black coffee, the cup with the milk had a little tip that made the milk come out in the form of a thread and I was adding the milk as the girl does in the bakery where I usually go.
I was adding and making the movements just as she explained to me, and the result was so so so so so so.... It was nothing like what I expected, hahaha, so no way, I had to pass the whisk and mix it all and I got a lot of foam.
The design was foamy, it was nothing like the one I wanted, although the flavor was the same, the beige color of the coffee with milk was measured, it seemed hahaha, so I applaud the work done by these professionals in the art of barismo, who provide us with products that make us fall in love with their presentation.
So, since it didn't work out, I ended up going to the bakery to indulge my taste for a well presented coffee and complete it with a sweet treat. I will not give up and I will keep trying, at some point it will come out and of course I will show it off on my blog and I will even dare to show them.
Humans tend to be very visual and food and drinks well presented are something that captivate us instantly. I want to learn how to make something like this to pamper myself. It's not that I'm going to work on it, but as I always say, knowledge doesn't take up space, so I'll keep trying until I get it right.
