My beautiful mug with 13 years of history

Happy evening coffee lovers!!!

I was drinking this morning a delicious coffee in one of my beautiful cups, and I remembered that it has been with me for so long, and, taking into account that it is 13 years old, and has a special value for me, because it was a gift from my mother-in-law, I remembered with much nostalgia and sadness due to the situation that my country is going through, those moments when we had economic stability, and we could travel on special dates to share with the family.

My husband and I are both teachers, and, we live in the State of Bolivar Venezuela, his family lives in the State of Monagas, so, every year we would go as a family to vacation and that included family Christmas; my mother-in-law used to place her Christmas tree and under it there was a gift for each member of the family, which we would open on December 24th at midnight.

I remember in 2011 when I opened my gift there was a beautifully decorated ceramic coffee mug, when I saw it I liked it very much, so, when it was time to return home, I wrapped it very carefully so that it would not break on the way, it arrived home intact thank God.

Since it is very common at home for things to break, I keep it in my fridge ever since my mother-in-law gave it to me as a gift, we have moved house twice, until we moved to our own house, and in each move I was very attentive to my mug.

It has a beautiful green color, and on the front a cute little doll sitting in a blue indentation just like the handle and the top rim of the mug.

I don't really use it much, I keep it very safe because of its sentimental value, that's why I take good care of it, but this morning I used it and, I don't know, I got a little sentimental!

If you see the top edge is a little deteriorated, the paint has been peeling for the years, it is relatively large but, catches the ideal amount of coffee by the indentation that has in the center.

I love my cup, it brought back beautiful memories of years ago, I don't know, I guess like all Venezuelans I have been a little sensitive about everything that is happening!
