Hello, everyone! This is @lorene08, and I would like to share with you one of the highlights in my life, our Recognition Ceremony. SRNHS conducted its 9th Recognition Rites last April 14, 2025.
The ceremony was supposed to begin at precisely 7:30 AM. Guess what? I arrived 5 minutes late! I was really lucky because when I and my father came at the complex, the procession just began. Since we Grade 11-STEM students were called up first in the seating (Descartes and Pythagoras), we were also the first ones to march in the procession, followed by ABM. To our left were the TVL and then followed by the HUMSS strands.
I was sweating already when I walked along the center aisle. I mean, who wouldn't? Just picture yourself, arriving at the venue, not even having had time to catch your breath yet, and then you're already walking at the center suddenly. Luckily, the program began right on time, just as in the schedule, surprising!! LOL HAHAHAHA.
Anyway, the ceremony began with the procession, then the entrance of colors, the Philippine National Anthem, the Sugbo Hymn, the San Remigio Hymn, and a prayer led by one of my Grade 10 classmates last school year(this entire segment took around 20 minutes!)
Then, the distribution of honors began. The STEM strand was called first, then ABM, TVL, and lastly HUMSS. Next were a few speeches, our guests', school heads', and a motivational speech from one of the STEM students of another section.
After the not-so-long ceremony, they announced the pictorial of our class. But first to have their photo taken on stage were the faculty members/teachers and our school principal.
After their turn, one by one the sections were called. I was glad seeing my friends smile so brightly. I wasn't emotional that much since we will still be together next school year, hehehe.
Then it was our section's turn at last to take our class picture. We were laughing while we were walking towards the stage because it took us ages to get in line, more than likely because there are so many girls in our section! We got out of the stage after getting our picture taken, and some of my friends were joking around teasing our adviser, saying she would cry.
Following our class picture, my group of friends (Rainbowpopzzzz) agreed to take our group photo because we weren't able to do it during our Moving Up ceremony (many were not present back then). Unfortunately, one of our friends had already left, so we still weren’t complete:(

I also had a photo taken with my closest friend, her name is Ashley. We've been friends since Grade 9 and grew closer because we always went to and from school together since we live in the same barangay.
Before closing my blog with a quote, here are some other photos from the recognition:
"What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning." -T.S. Eliot. Recognition day felt like the end, but I know it's also the beginning of a new chapter for us.
Thank you and see you in my next blogs, everyone!!
