Thanks to some light prodding from @themarkymark I tried out PikaOS. PikaOS is an Ubuntu based version of Nobara. This isnt a review of it but I will say that if you are Linux gamer and you like Ubuntu based distros. This is the one you want to be on. What they have ready for you out of the box is awesome and the amount of stuff you can add in one or two clicks is astounding. I went for their Hyperland version cause thats really what I was after the most. I've been itching to play with Hyprland since I first heard about it and it just wasnt working on Ubuntu.
Hyprland
It took me a day or two to figure out the config of it but when it did, man it is fun! Hyprland is everything they say it is. The only draw back for me is that it's a Wayland only window manager so I cant live in it everyday all day. I have to be able to use barrier (software KVM) to run both of my machines with one keyboard & mouse. There currently isn't any software KVM's that will work on Wayland yet. But using Hyprland reminded me how much I actually missed being in a tiling window manager. I didnt want to go back to the gnome cosmic desktop on Pop!_OS. So, I did the next best thing.

Good old i3WM to the rescue!
I updated the old install and got to playing with the dot files. Instead of using the old i3 conky status bar I had. I switched to the bumblebee status and did the whole thing in a Nord theme. I then needed a nice Nord themed wallpaper to go with it. But I wanted more. I wanted a Nord themed Hive wallpaper and couldn't find one. So I made it. I channeled my inner @doze and pounded one out.
I know it's not on the same level as some thing he could create but I did the best I could with the inspiration. I made it in Gimp and the full version is down below for anybody who wants to use it or share it. No attribution needed.
Im so happy with the way the theme turned out I may just use the Nord theme on everything from now on. Lol!
