Welcome to #SublimeSunday , a tag presenting you with the unique opportunity to post something a bit different, wacky, crazy or just whatever takes your fancy and instigated by me @c0ff33a ☕️
First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
Busy weeks are busy, and mine are always crazy - my favourite new product photography spot the Gibbet above - although it seems to sell well you need to "dress" your product pictures - more to follow.
Saturday I had to call in work to wait for a special delivery of coffee makers, as the new coffee roaster had arrived in a big wooden crate I did not need again - I decided to repurpose the wood. The pallet it was on was far too big for normal use, so I cut it in half leaving one reasonable sized pallet for use - and the remaining wood got used for the November 5th bonfire celebrations.
The side panels of the crate however could prove useful, this racking we picked up used many many years ago only had the middle section beams. Previously I used another roaster crate to make the shelving so we could store things on it. Cutting the top and bottom off the long crate sections which already had a second supporting bar to give strength - I was able to make cross beams, although the widest crate panels were still not long enough so I had to join two together, cut that to correct length and then add aditional cut sections for extra support. I found some long nuts and bolts to use as the connection to the racking - the nut heads just fit the widest notch section on the racking and then slid down into the narrow part to lock it into place - tightening the bolts made it all nice and solid. Getting the holes for the bolts into the correct place so they fitted in the slots was tricky - but I managed it without too much adjustment.
The remaining crate panels were then cut to make shelves across the two cross beams - giving a nice solid platform to store lighter goods after they had been screwed into the beams. We have lots of very light and rarely needed items that can be stored on this new top level shelving, leaving lower level space for faster moving storage.
While I was deep into this frenzy of jigsaw action, the new coffee makers arrived - a personal delivery from the people who have developed it! A UK manufactured coffee and loose tea press - with a very special party piece - while most Cafetiere coffee makers leave all the grounds as a sludge in the jar after brewing - which you end up pouring down the sink - this press has a dual filter system that locks them in place - so you pull the grounds out compressed between the two filters for easy deposit into food waste recycling. We had a coffee from it and a chat while looking around the roastery, and I have been using one of these all week to try out - the metal filters ensure a crisp clean taste from the coffee - and they say it's just as good for loose leaf tea too!
They are available from @whiterosecoffee at the manufacturers RRP - except I'm including for free our two 2021 Great Taste Awards winning coffee free - grab yours today.
So that was a very busy Saturday, but it just adds to the now daily workathon my life has become - to help promote @whiterosecoffee I have taken on the paid services of a digital marketing team to handle the "socials" on Instagram and Facebook (or Meta as it is rebranding) it's a learning journey from the start but shout out to Chatterbox Digital for dragging my one dimensional brain into the engaged world of Social Media.
One thing that has really impressed me is it hasn't turned into a "we post your social media for you" which alone would have been a weight off my already rammed schedule, but they also work to improve my offering to make it more desirable. For example I was really pleased with my
Gibbet based photography of this Cyclists Strength coffee blend gift set, but they went all out on a photo shoot day with photographer, props and lighting to turn it into
Super appealing for the Cyclists Strength gift pack
It's light years beyond my very basic this is what I sell so here is a photo of it - adding little props and decorations never crossed my mind at all
This Hikers Inspiration gift set looks so good now I want to buy it!
Even the Christmas Coffee got a makeover, amazing images and very clever attention to detail.
Despite the cold damp weather we now have, there is a pot of good coffee waiting at the end of the rainbow.
