First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
Another #sublimesunday on a Monday, no particular reason this time other then I had a quite busy Sunday and didn't feel up to creating a post in the evening.
The weather continued to be quite acceptable over the weekend, with the sun shining and while it wasn't exactly super hot - it was mild enough to enjoy in a t-shirt if you are brave like me. Saturday mostly involved sorting through a mass of stuff my boy had accumulated over the last six of his eleven years - while we continue to try and clear out his bedroom so it can be painted and made more acceptable for a eleven year old. We had a few trips out on foot as well, to a local shop and drop him off / pick him up from his friends.
The UK over the weekend however managed to demonstrate to the world yet again how completely nuts us little island dwellers can get - you would think that having everything you need pretty much on your doorstep - and for quite a large proportion in walking / bus / train distance would make driving a car a luxury that could be done without during times of supply shortages. Apparently not, a few news articles about minor issues with petrol and diesel supplies last week caused an embarrassing chaos of massive queues at petrol stations as people rushed to fill up their cars with fuel.
The end result meant from Friday to Monday (and the rest of this week most likely) roads have been blocked by cars waiting to get into the petrol stations - desperate to stock up on the guzzoline - and when some had waited hours only to reach the pumps and find they had run dry..violence erupted...
So it seems the post apocalyptic world of Mad Max has already reached the UK, all it needed was a Brexit combined with a complete deficit of Lorry Drivers.
Unfortunately I had not anticipated this debacle and so only had 100 miles of range left myself....but that's more then enough in a hybrid especially if you annoy every other road user by accelerating like a tortoise. So I have avoided the chaos, I've still got 75 miles left after a trip out on Sunday and work and back today - plus a bonus jerrycan for the lawnmower we won't need until next year now - I might even syphon the lawn mower dry - that will keep me going until later this week when all the panic buyers have full tanks and nowhere to go, and the petrol stations have restocked with the precious fuel..
Aside from the impending doom, I did take some photos of the last of the flowers as Autumn bites.
It is definately cooler on a night and you can feel the frosts will not be long away.
Cooler weather, nights closing in the winter months are not far away - it's not going to be fun walking everywhere because the petrol stations are all dry.
On the positive @whiterosecoffee Christmas Blend is back - and with some tempting gift packages being developed along with new labelling there is at least a warm caffeine glow to look forward to this Christmas.
For now though I'm off to dip a pipe into the lawnmower petrol tank to suck through the last of it's precious guzzoline to keep me heading to and from work for a few more days.
