So this weekend for our Sublime Sunday Mother's Day, we are just hanging this morning. Sometimes it's just nice to hang out with no plans, no tasks, no to do's and just make a conscious decision to put everything aside for a few hours. We often sit on our back patio in the mornings for coffee, it's a great way to start the day.
Here's a little something for you flower loving Mom's.
This Hibiscus is amazing how it has grown and opened up. It's amazing to see these close up for the night and open up for the day.
This is a Bougainvillea plant we added a Trellis behind it, and then I built the supporting frame on wheels last weekend. It's still awaiting it's coat of paint to match. We did this so we can wheel it around to safer spot when the big Hurricane winds come.
This plant is unusual in that it has both white and red flowers.
Here's a little taller pic of the plant and trellis. The little vines have already grown over 2 feet in just a week or two and wrapping around the trellis nicely.
I am by no means a gardener, but we planted a lemon tree this year as well. This is supposedly some kind of special lemon tree designed to stay fairly small and remain in the pot.
And look, it has lemons!
I can hardly wait to try a fresh lemon from our own yard! Hard to believe this little tree has over 20 lemons on it!
Here's the view from my bird cage coffee chair with the miniature palm trees across the pool. What a great way to start the day, or finish it!
We moved here just over a year ago, and yes we are still loving it.
Enjoy your Mother's Day!
