Hello everyone,
I know it’s almost summer, yet here where I am, in Croatia, the weather gone a bit crazy as the temperatures dropped significantly, therefore I have remembered this surreal winter spent “once upon a time in Romania”.
Discovering this community where is so much activity has made me wanting to join.
So here am I, taking you on a journey “ On Mars” / Bucegi mountains, they are located in Central Romania & they are part of the Southern Carpathians, group of the Cadoathian Mountains. They are quite high, at “Omu” they reach the highest point of 2.505 meters.
I used to go there quite often during my childhood & early youth. Both in summers & winters.
It is indeed a surreal place. On the Bucegi mountain is also a Sphinx, a rocky formation of 8 meters high & 12 meters wide, which is located at an altitude of 2216 meters.
I will stop by another time with some pictures of the Sphinx as the ones I have taken are in summer season and won’t fit this entry.
I hope you will enjoy this surreal atmosphere.
