After some good traveling and a full memory card, it feels good to be back home, however, I feel a total lack of energy. I suppose it's totally ok to feel like that after missing that proper sleep and after the hundreds of kilometers I had to drive.
I love driving, by the way. Passing country borders, though, is a completely different story. Especially when you get in contact with those special type of persons who wear uniforms only to show their "supremacy" over the "normal" people.
I don't hold anything against such people, but only against what they do. I was wearing a uniform for an year, when I was serving my military time, it was obligatory back in my youth. I even got stars on my shoulders, meaning I got an officer rank but my only goal, after serving that "special" year was to get out of the uniform as quickly as possible, and to pray I don't even have to wear such one again. Said shortly, I hope every day there are no wars where my country is involved.
But the war instead, is getting bigger and bigger and it feels it's getting closer.
Today I saw on the news thousands of young men running away from Russia, after their president declared a mobilization. Some, interviewed on the border with Georgia, saying they paid a bribe of EUR 1200 just to pass the border for one day, otherwise the waiting time is three (3) days. Can you imagine this?
On another news announce I heard that the last airplane tickets to Belgrade cost more than EUR 10,000.
I have no idea if those two news are true or fake but following the line of those and many others, it all starts to shape the big picture. And it isn't a bright one.
Well, look where my thoughts went. Never mind, I just wanted to tell you it's good to be back home, but let's not forget how fragile is everything around us. Ourselves included.
Have I made anything today to make the world around me a better one?
Have you?
Have we?
