Chrysomya megacephala better known as the oriental latrine fly or oriental blue fly, is a member of the Calliphoridae (flying fly) family. It is a warm weather fly with a blue-green metallic box-like body. Flies occupy corpses immediately after death, making them important for forensic science. These flies are implicated in several public health problems; can cause unintentional myiasis, and also infect fish and livestock.
The fly Chrysomya megacephala I found a few days ago, at one of the fish markets, this fly is standing on a tree branch. I took some photos of this fly using my cellphone.
