Por ejemplo, la alimentación es un derecho universal que a nadie se le debe negar independientemente de la edad. Sin embargo, hasta en esos casos no se quiere decir de que puede comer cualquier cosa. A un diabético no le ofreceríamos una donuts con doble glaseado y una gaseosa en una tarde sólo porque tiene derecho a alimentarse. ¡Lo estaríamos matando! Se necesita que el alimento esté acorde con sus capacidades y necesidades.

De forma parecida, creo que el acceso a internet debe suministrarse a la medida de las capacidades y necesidades de cada quien. Y a éste respecto me estoy refiriendo específicamente a los niños. Hay muchas cosas útiles en la web que promoverán el sano aprendizaje de los más pequeños. Sin embargo, hay muchas otras cosas nocivas que pueden hacer un daño severo a la moralidad, integridad y salud mental de los niños. Así que primero se debe impartir educación y supervisión para que éste ser humano pueda conocer los riesgos que conlleva la navegación por internet.

¿Un mundo con acceso a internet como derecho humano? Vaya, me imagino un mundo más peligroso del que conocemos ahora. Muchos infantes podrían acceder a contenidos y a contactos con personas que no debieran sin tener los cuidados para prevenirlos. Podrían hacer ahora muchas cosas casi en cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento. Así que los padres no solo buscarían proteger a sus hijos del desenfreno que podrían encontrar en la calle u otros lugares públicos, sino también el que podría llegar a sus dispositivos móviles.

En un marco así, podría ser un problema para la comunicación efectiva en la familia y en las relaciones personales. Ya es suficiente las desatenciones que se tienen en ocasiones cuando los dispositivos prevalecen en ocasiones presenciales. Incluso, para la eficiencia y eficacia en algunos lugares de empleo podría verse disminuida, puesto que tal vez el trabajador podría aprovecharse de esa circunstancia para holgazanear un poco en horas laborales.
