Good day to you all my tutors and learners here on Hive.
Hive has been a great platform over the years. And this should be thanks to decentralized interfaces and blockchain technology. Yeah, it can be counted that have has sustained and marked over 7 years and counting. We are still hopeful hive will last longer than imagined.
Despite the crypto market fluctuations and the bearish market we’ve been experiencing over the months which must have caused a lot of projects, and created a lot of rug pulls, Hive remains on its stand and reassuring its users about reliability over time.
Though the price of Hive also went down that never stopped the activity on the platform, instead many more projects stood out and did so well.
Transparency is key. This is another niche where Hive took advantage of many other platforms. There is no hidden agenda anywhere in the hive. Just having your keys to be safe and secured. Then every other thing is transparent to everyone. You can get to know the recent user who just dumped a huge amount of tokens, and also know those who just powered up a great amount of tokens.
More of it is the fact that the use of hive power also made Hive sustainable and withstand the test of time. Staking is known to be one great way to maintain and stabilize the marketcap of a token. This is why most projects want users who are ready to hodl on to their tokens for a long time without dumping in the market.
It would take a good 13 weeks to power down your staked amount of hive. So even if huge stakes were to decide to take advantage by dumping their skate, then it would be after 13 weeks and everyone must know about what's going on. So that would rarely happen just the way it happens in other projects causing rug pulls.
But over time I realized the use of the hive engine where other tokens are created and utilized. These hive engine tokens are more like Altcoins on the Hive blockchain. So it's a choice to make on whichever coin you feel like making your investment one. There are a lot of tokens on the hive engine. Examples are the POB for the proof of brain community, LGN for the Legion project, LEO for the InLeo community, DREEM for the Dreemport community, and many more.
How about a Hive Marketplace
Although this is just coming as a suggestion I felt it should be a nice experience on hive too. What if Hive should have a marketplace where users can buy, sell, and mint NFT and other resources on Hive?
I know NFTs have been trampled upon recently, making it less reliable for users to invest in them. But this marketplace could be so unique for users on the platform alone. Where users could mint their artwork into NFTs with some charges in Hive, then place it on the marketplace here on Hive which is restricted to Hive users to buy or swap.
There could be Hive cards that are rewards to users. Just the way the hive buzz gives an award for activities on the platform. For example, the monthly badge could have some worth in the marketplace place where users could trade them for hive power or swap them for other cards. For example, Four weekly badges by one user could be swapped for a monthly badge. This means the user has accomplished writing for a month on Hive.
Cards earned from the DApp or front end on hive could also get swapped, sold, or bought by some other user who has the other token at hand but needs that specific token.
I only hope it will be perfect, but I believe it is something possible to accomplish and might go a long way to make Hive a better place for users. Hive is our collective responsibility. When it is good, we all enjoy it, and if it seems somehow then we are also in it together.
This is my response to the prompt for week 85 edition 1 on the hive learners community and the topic to be discussed is HIVE UPGRADES.
