It is a universal truth that whatever has advantages has some disadvantages too. If we talk about internet service, then it is no less than a boon here because today the world is progressing so much and touching new heights, internet has a huge contribution in it. There was a time when people had to look at newspapers to get some information and had to struggle a lot even for small information but today internet is in your hands and it can tell you the information within a click. It even explains such information to you which you will not find even in the books and newspapers around you. Every type of information of the country and the world is available on the internet and if seen today, whoever has internet service has a storehouse of knowledge. In the beginning, when the internet was used, it was for getting information and for communication because the internet was used only for timely information broadcasting but now as the progress is happening and technology is developing, the internet is used for many types of things. Today people come to the internet not only for information but for many types of things and if you look at it, nowadays people are using the internet for other things more than information.
If we look at the closest facility of the internet, it is social media. Social media must have started about 20 years ago and social media was used to connect with people. Social media used to make you new friends from time to time and you used to stay connected with your existing friends as well because many times it used to happen that we used to get separated from our friends and then we could not meet them for a long time, so social media used to help a lot and we used to stay connected with our friends through social media. If I talk about social media 15-20 years ago and talk about now, then there is a lot of difference between them. If we talk about today's social media, then the type of content I have seen in today's social media, I do not think is right for any small children. Here I am talking about social media because any child first goes to social media and creates his account there first on social media. Today I see that on many such popular social media platforms, there is such vulgar and dirty content that we feel ashamed to see it and many times we feel sad after seeing it that what kind of mentality it is pushing our youth towards because the people who create content here do not care about the society or what message will be understood by watching the video, they just have to increase their reviews and followers, so they share such content through their social media platforms.
Now in such an environment, we cannot expect anything from these social media companies that they will do something for this because they also look at their profit and they also want to earn money. I have my own experience of this thing because many times when I see any objectionable content on social media, I report it but I don't know how the algorithm of these social media companies works and that report is not accepted and I get a message that this content is not objectionable. Now in such a situation, my trust in social media companies is completely lost and in such a situation I feel that we ourselves will have to explain to our children what kind of content they should consume. The first thing is that until the children become fully sensible, these children should be kept away from all these platforms. Although it is very difficult to keep children away from the Internet because nowadays education has become such that without the Internet, children cannot get guidance, but in such an environment, we parents can provide the biggest help.
The biggest help we can do for children is that we can give them guidance from time to time about such things that how dangerous it is for your mental health and how much negative impact can your reality be by consuming such content. I feel that if we keep guiding children against such content, then after some time the children will understand themselves and they will not like to watch such content. In such a condition, moral support is very important for children because if you impose restrictions on children, then in such a situation, children will watch the content in many ways because nowadays there are many such ways on the Internet through which restricted content can also be watched. Governments of many countries have banned adult websites but still people watch them through various types of applications, so this is not a big deal for children but the biggest thing is that those children should have a negative thinking about this content in their mind, only then they will stop watching such content and if a negative approach is to be brought about this content, then it will be very important for the parents to give moral support to the children because this is the only way in which we can guide our children properly and by the way, the child should be guided from time to time for those things which are right as well as wrong in his growing age because as a parent you must have experienced many things, so it is your duty to guide your children about that thing whether this thing is right or wrong.
Till the time the children themselves do not think that this thing is wrong for me and what kind of content should I watch and what kind of content I should not watch, only then we can expect that our youth is moving in the right direction. Nowadays many kinds of worst content are available on the internet and the biggest thing is that that kind of content is also consumed the most, so in such a situation, if the youth does not think that this thing is wrong and what I am doing is not right, then such content will keep on increasing and the owners of such platforms will keep on getting profit and will keep on creating such content there.
I don't understand how the government gives permission to upload such content on the internet because such content is not worth viewing at all. The government does create websites but there are many ways to view these websites, so why doesn't the government delete all such content from the internet permanently and make a protocol for uploading such content in the future so that such content cannot be uploaded on the internet.
Today, when there is so much technology in the world, can't such a technology be developed that such content is not uploaded on the internet and only that content is uploaded which everyone can see.
After saying all this, I would just like to say in the end that neither the government nor the owners of these platforms can do anything in such a situation, so in such a condition you yourself will have to take the responsibility to not give such content to your children and you will have to keep giving them moral support from time to time, only then they will be able to avoid such objectionable content.
