There was a time when people used to be very crazy about books and that was a different era. I still remember I had an uncle who used to read such a thick book which was called a novel and he was so addicted to novels that he used to finish the whole novel within a week while he used to do other work as well. Then came the mobile phone and gradually the craze for novels and books also decreased and people started getting more attracted towards mobile. All this started happening when mobile technology had developed a lot and almost everyone has a smartphone and everyone now passes their time with the help of online videos or social media. If seen, at that time people had no other means to pass time, then they used to use the library but now people have many means of entertainment and time pass, so after all very few people will use books.
There was a time when I saw that there used to be a crowd of people in the library to buy books and there used to be book stores everywhere but now the number of these things has reduced a lot and this thing is now seen only in a few selected places. If I talk about my local area, then there used to be a government library here which was linked with the degree college here, people used to come there only to get books related to their course and would not take any other books. There was a time when people used to be so crazy about books that they could not even get a book to read but now the time is different.

Closing the library and using it for some other work would not be a right decision because even though people have started using modern technology today, there are still many people who like to read books and they take the help of books to keep themselves away from these mobile phones and other social media. This thing is also right because even though today you can read any book on your mobile phone, but I can say with confidence that there will hardly be any people who will be able to focus on reading any book on mobile phone because there is a lot of distraction in mobile phones and if you are using the internet then the distraction will be even more. I have many friends who still buy books from the market and definitely read at night and I am of the opinion because sometimes you have to take the help of something else to come out of the distraction of this mobile phone and in such a situation a book can be the best option.
In today's time, people come to the library to prepare for their competitive exams and in competitive exams, questions are asked from different types of books. Now, in such a situation, it is not possible for a student to buy all the books because a student does not have so much money that he can spend so much money on books. So, in such a situation, he can go to the library and make notes from the books related to his exam which will help him in the exam and if he wants to use a book from the library for some time, he can do that too. In this way, his money will also be saved and if he has to buy that book, then after some time it will not be useful to him and will be wasted in a way. So, in such a situation, many people can read from one book from the library and the same book can be useful for many people.
Things have become digital but if some things are done in a conventional way, then they have a different experience. No matter how much we read through digital medium, but that hard copy of the book and the wonderful smell of the pages is a different experience and there is a different fun in reading from real books.
