Being friends with someone for so long was supposed to add meaning to someone's life, but to me, it was just like a curse. I tried to draw her closer, but the more I tried, the more she still had the mind of doing the same useless thing I detested so much.
There is one thing with me when it comes to trust. When I trust you, I will do that from the bottom of my heart. The one I called my friend happened to come around to my house. Although I do visit her most of the time.
My husband had once warned me of this lady I was mingling myself with, but somehow I refused his advice. I was so sure that this lady would be the best I could have as a friend.
We kept on with our friendship for several months, or, let's say, for almost a year. It started so well to the extent of feeding her some of my secrets. Anytime we were discussing, my husband would try to leave us alone because he detested her so much for no reason. It got to some point where I had to quarrel with my husband to stop hating her, but then he told me that he did not know the reason for hating her, but something in him did not like her.
One fateful day, I went to her place as usual. We began to discuss, and I told her a secret that I had never told my husband. Not that I was not ready to tell my husband, but I just wanted it to remain until the time was right. I disclosed this piece of secret to her. I was just two months pregnant, and I had to keep it until it was a month. Not only that, but I asked her to keep it a secret until I told my husband about it. She said no problem.

Two days later, my husband was frowning unknowingly and unjustly. I tried to ask him to tell me the reason for the unexpected frowning, but he just hissed and left. I was so surprised because this would be the first of its kind for my husband to behave this way to me. It has never happened for once.
When it was night, I called my husband and asked him to tell me what the difficulty was. He was mute, and this kept me surprised because it was the first time after six years of marriage.
I asked him again, and this time, he opened up to me. He said, “Why did you hide it from me?”
I was surprised by what he was saying. “I don't understand an inch of what you just asked me," I said.
He said, “You have been pregnant for a month now, and you hid it from me.” I was shocked to hear it from him. I told him that I was keeping it until your birthday, as your birthday was just a week from this time. He was calm after hearing this from me. But then I was surprised because no one knew about it except my friend.
“Who told you this because I have only told one person?” I asked him.
He said he heard it from his friend, who was close to my friend.
“What!!!” I shouted at once.
“Why must she do that? I wanted to tell you when it's your birthday and also to make you feel great." I immediately apologized, and he said to me that he had warned me before about the kind of person I was, but I wouldn't listen.
The next day, my friend came to my house pretending to be good. I did not keep quiet; instead, I opened up to her about what she had done. She initially lied not to have told anyone, but later she apologized for what she had done.
Since that day, I have not been happy with her. I kept distancing myself from her. I felt she was the type of person who would destroy one's marriage, and so I was not giving her my smile any more. She knew that my relationship with her had been the distance type, and this was when she stopped coming to my house, and I have not been going to her house as well.
We were so good together, but just this character hers made me hate her to my marrow. My husband had warned me before, but I was so adamant to follow my husband's advice. Now, my eyes were opened.
