Hello everyone and good evening. I have taken yet another break from everything. If any one of you'd actually noticed me more than once in their life then they might realize that I have been gone for a couple days now. Well, that is because I was behind on deadlines. This life of a computer science graduate from my country Bangladesh is quite hard. These universities just never stopped giving out assignments and projects. My mid semester exams were over so I thought okay. Maybe I'll chill out a couple days and then I'll go back to studying. But no, they had to put a deadline right at the end of the exam and not one I had three. So I just got occupied.
Now I didn't come online here to rent about my daily life. Rather I want to share something that I found out firsthand. For the last few years I have been hearing that AI will take over this job. AI will take over that job and what not. So because I had a deadline I had to rush it. And for that I took help from AI. And I must say that this thing is a lot more capable than what most people believe. I have realized something very important. That AI is very powerful, way too powerful. It is just strangled by the input that you give. I have seen when I give it a very detailed instruction of what I want, it does exactly that. And sometimes goes beyond. Now among those goes beyond the type moments. I do not like it most of the time because I want to take one step at a time. But when it's doing two things and the second thing doesn't have my instructions, it does it on its own and it is not to my liking all the time. But sometimes it does that second thing as well as the first one. And I fast forwarded 7 days worth of work in only 2 days. And I can proudly say that I am not the best prompt engineer. I do not know the best prompts that can maximize the output of an AI model. But even if I could bring out such insane outputs, I must say that the phrase of AI taking over our jobs needs a little correction.
The actual phrase should be that AI will not take over people's jobs. Rather, people who know how to maximize the output of an AI most certainly take over the jobs of other people. AI is here to stay. It might just not take over humanity and civilization as we know it right now, but at the moment it is probably the best assistant a man can want.
