Good evening everyone. As today's topic has been selected, Time travel has always been an intriguing topic for me. And as I grew up and studied I realized it was just a pipe dream. Theoretically time travel has been possible since the time of Einstein. But of course you can't physically do it. Because your mass has to be less than zero in order to travel faster than the speed of light. Only then you can travel time as you reach a certain place before light reaches. And time is correlated with light. According to that theory, another thing arises that you can only time travel forwards and there's no scientific or theoretical way to travel backwards.
On the subject of time travel, there was this German TV show named “Dark”. It added some extra twist. The theories of entropy and all, very intriguing. But actually there is a way to travel time. We can see our past. That is if we look at the stars. We know light has a finite speed. So it takes time to reach from A to B. So if a particular light photon hits, suppose a star. Then it bounces and comes towards earth. Now these stars are lightyears away. So those light photons have to travel those lightyears first. Now of course a lightyear means the distance light travels in a year. So if a star is multiple lightyears away, it has to travel multiple years first. And then it reaches us and we see it. So in other words, the light we see from the stars, actually came to us from a state of that star that was years ago. The stars we see are multiple years behind their current state, at the moment when we see.
You know what they say, the stars embody us. So if you ever want to look at the past, or look at the past of humanity, in a poetic sense, look at the stars. Maybe it is dead by the time you see it. But cherish what you see, it’s the only bit of realistic time travel possible.
