Almost everyone enjoys purchasing high-quality goods, however many individuals choose lower-quality goods due to financial constraints.
From the time I was a teenager to this present moment, I have always preferred high-quality goods over low-quality ones.
I can buy one quality product that will triple the amount of some sub-standard products. In the long run, quality products will last longer than those who purchase substandard products.
Early this year, my colleague and I went to purchase a safety helmet cap. When we got to the store the vendor showed us the different ones available. We also saw the difference in the quality of the safety caps.
I bought mine at the rate of $10. I took a very quality one, but my friend took the one for $3. He said they are the same and they will serve the same purpose. I told him they are not the same and he should try to get a quality one since he has the cash at hand. But he didn't listen.
After one month, his safety cap became so flexible that even if a small stone touch the cap, it would hit his head so hard. I just laughed at him, because I told him nothing beats quality. I'm still using my cap now and it's still very strong.
Sometimes, you might pay for a quality product and you will be cheated.
It's so annoying to pay for a quality product and you get a less quality product for a quality price.
My Recent Experience
I purchased a safety boot in a big store two months ago. I was passing by the store and I saw a safety boot designed by Reebok. I have used that kind of design before, and it lasted for 3 years, though I didn't use it frequently. But the product was a good one.
When I saw the name on the safety boot, I was already convinced that it must be a quality one. The woman told me that the last price of the boot was $22, I was surprised initially because the last one I bought 4 years ago was around $20. With the inflation and the interval of years, I expected the boot to be above $30.
I quickly made the payment, thinking that the woman was not sure of the price. I need to rush the payment so that she won't change her mind. I was happy within myself that I had cheated on the woman, lol.
When I wore it to the site the following week, my boss was the first person that told me about the price of the Reebok boot. He just laughed and said so you have bought this locally-made Reebok boot as well.
Initially, I couldn't understand what he was talking about. He told me the amount he bought his own from a vendor on the Island. He told me that he bought his own $18 and it was a fake Reebok boot.
I was so disappointed but I told him, well this is an original one and he laughed that I will soon know maybe its original or not.
This Reebok shoe was worn out and had enlarged after only one month of use, this shoe was no longer able to fit me properly.
I now realized I have paid double the amount to buy a less quality product despite paying the amount of a quality product.
The price of the product I paid for shouldn't been above $5, because it was a well-polished fake product.
I left the shoe at home and will visit the store shortly. When I do, I'll inform the woman that defrauding a customer is disgusting and will result in her losing her reputation and referrals.
In conclusion, business owners should uphold their good names and act honestly in all of their transactions. Let buyers know they are choosing the lower-quality item, and those who are interested will buy it.
