A compliment is a way to show someone you appreciate or grateful for them.
The word "compliment" is typically associated with positive acts; whenever you receive one, you might assume that you have done something nice or helpful.
Never have I seen someone who committed a crime and being praised for it; instead, people tend to blame or condemn them. The compliment does not flow with bad deeds.
Before I explain the greatest compliment I ever received, I will discuss the previous compliment that I received.
Compliment From A Neighbour
Recently, I received a compliment, from my neighbour and I was excited about it. My neighbour washed several loads of clothes outside before leaving. I was at home that day and I later noticed that it was very cloudy and that rain would fall.
To prevent rain from getting on the clothes, I moved all of the clothing to my apartment.
She was extremely joyful and knelt appreciating what I did when the woman returned early in the morning.
She claimed that washing a specific item of clothing, her lastborn's career day outfit, had just saved her from trouble and that it would be worn the following day on career day at school.
The boy recently recovered from malaria, and the lady showed me the cloth she will wear for the boy on his career day. The boy won't be able to use it on career day if I don't remove the cloth, and he might become sick again because he has been looking forward to career day.
Since I knew the boy would weep a lot and possibly get sick again, I was delighted to have spared him from having to go through what he was about to undergo.
The Greatest Compliment I Ever Got
Compliment From A friend
A few weeks ago one of my friends got married, I was the best man. Around June, he told me that I would be the best man, and I responded, "No problem, I will do that." He told me how much the outfit, being the best man, and all my other expenditures would cost.
He kept asking me that we should go to the marker to get the necessary items when it was exactly one month till the event and I was out of money. I wanted to tell him that I'm no longer interested, but I know it would make him very angry.
Since I was out of cash, I had to utilize the money I had been saving to get everything I needed.
However, I was affected because I was short of cash and it was a little challenging for me at that time.
He was so happy that I paid and supported him throughout the preparation. I left work for one week to assist him in the preparation.
Now The Compliment From Him
When the groom gave the vote of thanks at the reception, my friend called me out and asked that they should please praise me for all that I did, because all of my advice and inspiration helped him a lot.
He informed them of my work and encouraged them to patronise me.
On that beautiful day, I was praised, cheered, and even prayed for. I was shocked to get a standing ovation at a friend's party.
My Reaction
I was extremely happy, and it inspired me to constantly assist others and offer assistance whenever possible.
I appreciate his appreciation, and the standing ovation brightened my day.
Some powerful men at the gathering requested for my business card and promised to get in touch with me shortly about work.
This has had a wonderful impact on me, and I feel inspired to help more of my friends and others in need.
