I don't like using filters whenever i snap a picture
My Image
While I was going up, I was photogenic, how do I know this? Whenever I see a picture of me snapped, I just say to myself, I look ugly, and people will be telling me I'm beautiful, so I just believe they were deceiving me. As bad as it is, I don't have any childhood pictures, I don't have primary, or secondary school photographs, and even in my days in higher institutions, the ones I snapped and barely post. Due to this, I lived my life unbothered because no guy will ask an ugly girl out. But I still saw some guys that approached me then but I just believed I already knew their purpose so I cheerfully declined.
Do you apply filters to make yourself look better?
To me, using filters is stressful. After snapping, I will have to use filters to make it look better, which seems stressful for me, but that does not guarantee that I will look better in the picture. Just as the saying goes, "As you post Na, so you go meet yourself," meaning the way you look is what you will look in the camera.
Filter has really made some girls lose potential prospects not all guys like filter pictures they love ladies' natural looks and they appreciate natural looks and simplicity
Do you feel there is anything wrong with this
Yes, I think something is wrong, because if you have a good phone with a good-quality camera, why do you still need a filter? To me, this is deception. Why don't you want the world to see you the way you truly are? And the funny thing is, the filter can't give you that same look physically. Look your best and appreciate how you look because we are all beautiful and wonderfully made.
The idea of trying to look good and please people is just for a period of time, the more we grow, the more all this beauty fades off, and when we get old, we won't bother or think of using filters.
Have you ever been deceived by someone's picture, only to find something else when meeting them physically?
Yes, and it was very annoying that period, The guy got my number from a friend and reached out to me, and I requested that I want to know who I'm chatting with, so he sent me a picture. The guy edited the image and added filters. I didn't mention it to him, hoping to see him when we met. My goodness! He was so different, and immediately I had a turn-off.
How I Feel Now
I am becoming more confident in my appearance as I get older and more exposed to life, take care of myself, and use nice skin products. I snap pictures and see that I look beautiful, and I post them, and when I get comments on how I look, it keeps boosting my confidence that I'm truly beautiful.
