The most difficult people I've ever met had one common trait – in situations involving a mistake they had made, none of them would admit they were wrong.
The truth is, I believe it's part of my spiritual mission on Earth to deal with people who have this problem, as I had to deal with it early on within my own home. Or maybe it's just that the world is full of such people. Well, obviously, that's a question that can't be answered, but the fact is that I've realized they are all the same in the following aspect: they are very proud individuals who come up with a thousand and one justifications for their own mistakes, even blaming others, but they never admit they are wrong in any way.
On the other hand, the most amazing people I've met in life are those who admit when they are wrong. My husband and I are like that, and that's the kind of upbringing we're imparting to our daughter as well. My closest friends also share this approach – when they make a mistake, they try to fix it, admit they were wrong, and everything becomes fine afterward. The truth is, much can be forgiven if a person admits their mistake and genuinely tries to rectify it. But nothing can change if they are a proud person who would rather die than admit an error. Living with someone like that is very complicated and sometimes, depending on who we are or how much we've endured, it becomes impossible.

Those who are Christians know that imperfection has been part of human nature since Adam and Eve ate that fruit. Those who aren't Christians, who are atheists, or hold any other belief, also know that making mistakes is part of life, or they should know. Everyone is bound to make mistakes – it's part of life, and it's through these mistakes that we learn to become better individuals. But why is it so difficult for some people to admit when they're wrong about something? Somehow, they feel special; they genuinely believe they're different from others. They think, "Me? Wrong? Who do you think you are?!" Unfortunately, that's what happens most of the time. They have no idea that while they maintain this attitude, their life will never be light and happy.
Because admitting a mistake lightens the burden, it's liberating. It's feeling that you can learn more and that there's still much to be learned! Undoubtedly, if everyone possessed this virtue, the world would be much better and fairer. Throughout my life, I've distanced myself from people who were reluctant to admit their mistakes. I want to be close to those who want to evolve, those who want to achieve higher states of consciousness, and that's only possible when one is capable of seeing their own mistakes. There can be no change and evolution in humans without them first looking at themselves and seeing what needs to be changed. If a person feels that there's nothing that needs changing within themselves, they have a problem, and consequently, the people around them do too.

Tudo ficará bem se você admitir que está errado.
As pessoas mais difíceis que já conheci tinham uma característica em comum, todas elas em situações que envolvia algum equívoco que elas tivessem cometido, não admitiam de forma alguma que estavam equivocadas.
A verdade é que acredito que faz parte da minha missão espiritual na terra lidar com pessoas que tem esse problema, já que eu tive que lidar desde cedo dentro da minha própria casa. Ou talvez seja apenas o mundo que está lotado de pessoas assim. Bem, obviamente essa é uma questão impossível de ser respondida, mas o fato é que percebi que elas são todas iguais no seguinte ponto; são pessoas muito orgulhosas, que inventam 1001 justificativas para o próprio erro, inclusive culpar os outros, mas não admitem de nenhuma forma que estão errados.
Por outro lado, as pessoas mais incríveis que conheci na vida admitem quando estão erradas. Eu e meu esposo somos pessoas assim, e essa é a educação que passamos para nossa filha também. Meus amigos mais próximos, também tem essa postura; quando erram tentam consertar, admitem que erraram, e tudo fica bem depois. A verdade é que muita coisa pode ser perdoada se uma pessoa admite que errou, e tenta de verdade fazer algo para consertar o erro. Mas, nada pode ser mudado, se ela for uma pessoa orgulhosa que prefere morrer do que admtir um erro. A convivência com alguém assim é muito complicada, e algumas vezes, dependendo do tipo de pessoas que nós somos, ou do quanto já aguentamos, se torna impossível.

Aqueles que são cristãos, sabem que a imperfeição faz parte da natureza humana desde que Adão e Eva comeram a tal fruta. Aqueles que não são cristãos, que são ateus ou tenham qualquer outra crença, também sabem que o erro faz parte da vida, ou deveriam saber. Todo mundo está fadado a errar, faz parte da vida e é na medida que erramos que vamos aprendendo a ser pessoas melhores. Mas, porque é tão difícil pra algumas pessoas admitirem quando estão erradas sobre algo? De alguma forma elas se sentem especiais, elas verdadeiramente acreditam que são diferentes de outras pessoas, elas pensam: ‘’Eu? Errado? Quem você pensa que é?!’’. Infelizmente é isso que acontece na maioria das vezes. Elas não fazem ideia, que enquanto elas tiverem essa postura, sua vida nunca será leve e feliz.
Porque admitir um erro é tirar um peso das costas, é se sentir livre. É sentir que você pode aprender mais, e que ainda há muito o que ser aprendido! Sem dúvida, essa é uma virtude que se todos tivessem, o mundo seria muito melhor e mais justo. Ao longo da minha vida eu já me afastei muito de pessoas que custavam admitir seus erros. Eu quero estar perto de quem quer evoluir, de quem quer alcançar estados de consciência mais elevados, e isso só é possível, quando se é capaz de enxergar os próprios erros. Não há como haver mudanças e evolução no ser humanos, sem que antes ele olhe pra si mesmo e veja o que precisa ser mudado. Se uma pessoa sente que não há nada que precisa ser mudado em si mesma, ela tem um problema e consequentemente, as pessoas que convivem com ela também tem.
