Depression is a major problem constant feeling of sadness & the loss of interest occurs when you are depressed and it also stops you from doing your normal activities. There are various types of depression. Well, depression does not come from a single event but through multiple of events. You will not get enough of sleep and lose the appetite. Feeling demotivated all of the time is a common thing during depression.
People of my country do not take depression seriously and mostly the parents won’t even think of it. Depression can make someone take their life. When there is a family or friends support during depression it is the most generous way to make someone get out of this terrible situation. But no one takes it as a problem and they end up losing those people who suffered from depression. If someone says they are depressed few would reply like “stop overacting” , “Just chill” and many more things which makes the depressed person more depressed.
To be honest I have faced those and people would not care at all and take it as a simple thing. Most of these people don’t know that if someone is very depressed they should visit a doctor because it can turn out very ugly if not taken proper care for this issue. So, taking support early from the doctor can help stop symptoms becoming worse because it is treatable.
A person with depression may have thoughts such as they are a failure and it must be their fault when they fail to do something. Also, they will think that they are worthless and people are doing better without him. Sometimes, they will feel like that their life is not worth of living and many more thoughts appear when someone is depressed.
There are many different ways available to cope up with depression. Firstly one should never withdraw from life. If you are feeling depressed then keep socialising which can help to improve your mood. Secondly, keep in touch with friends and family or be with someone to talk whenever you are not feeling good when you feel low. Start to face your fears and not avoid the things you find difficult. I have seen my friend who was depressed whenever he felt low or anxious at that time he would avoid talking to everyone. But in this way they can end up losing their confidence in going out or meeting others.
If one day this situation arrives then facing up to it will help them become easier.
I would suggest to get enough of sleep during depression because poor sleep patterns will worse the situation and also staying up late and sleeping during the day is not good for our health. Try sticking to a routine as much as possible. Not having a proper routine can also leave an affect to your eating habits as like not having food on proper time can cause health issues and weight lose.
I suggested my friend those methods and he really got through the depression if none of these works then the last option is to see a doctor. You never know on what stage of depression you are in so it’s better not to avoid depression and share it with a doctor to start the treatment asap.
I would also request everyone to take a look at your surroundings your friends and family members take care of them. Stay alert because if someone is depressed it can lead them to a something serious. Make sure to help out when someone is depressed because it does not cost money to console someone but only a bit of time of kindness. Your kindness can make them rethink about their situation and they might end up thinking to live again. Let’s not let someone close to us disappear because of depression and if don’t the first step then no one will.
