My Goals
The year is gradually running to a close. What is that goal you're yet to achieve? Do you think the remaining four months is enough to make it happen? Just how much do you think you can achieve within four months?
As you know only 4 months left for the year 2023 to end and 2024 to start. Time passed very quickly didn’t it? Everything is moving so fast this year seems to be ending very soon. I could not realise how the time passed so quickly with ups and downs I forgot how the time got forwarded. I have been soo busy with my works I didn’t even notice. I have many things left to do and achieve.
English is not my first language and I have always wanted to be fluent in English. I have always scored good marks on English subject. Besides that English is an international language and must be learned. But I am very shy to speak in English because there was no practice for it in our classes. I was always afraid of pronouncing words incorrectly so, I have always stayed quite. It made me have the thoughts that everyone would laugh at my bad speaking skill. Moreover, I have always wanted to do better and improve myself and didn’t know how to do it. After soo many years I have decided to take a course for English which is IELTS course.
The full form of IELTS is International English Language Testing System. It is under British Council they are also partnered with IDP Education and Cambridge Assessment English. Here they teach the students to be fluent and perfect in English reading, writing, speaking and listening. Also with the score of IELTS I can study abroad. For that I need to make a suitable score for the subject I would like to study.
There are 2 types of courses first one is with basic which is for 4 months and another one is for 2 months. I have recently joined on 19th august and there I have classes only for 3 days. Saturday, Monday & Wednesday I have classes from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. It costed me around 8,500 taka for normal I have chosen the course of 2 months. Because for basic I need to pay extra 5,000 Taka and they teach grammar and I didn’t feel like I need to do the basic because I know some of it pretty well and also seemed like it would be a waste of money.
I can fully learn English and be fluent in it. For study purpose if I want to study abroad for the subject I want to study about then I have to at least score 6.5 so, that I can apply for studying abroad. Most probably after finishing the course of 2 month I will still have 2 more months and I for IELTS final exam I would take another month to study and revise everything that I have learnt so, that I can score as much as expected. After the perfect score I can apply to study in USA. For me 4 month is more than enough to complete what I require for IELTS exam.
No one would be as happy as I will be if I am gonna be fluent in English also my parents would be proud of me. They love to see me achieve the things that I want in life. Also in Bangladesh if you are fluent in English people appreciates it very much. Right now my goal is to study very hard so that I can score the best. I have to score 6.5 but I have the aim for 8. Like I don’t wanna hope for the less I wanna think highly so that I can do much much better. The more I think of scoring high the more chance of getting the score I want to achieve.
When I have joined and my friend Rabbi also have joined the course with me. Now it is very easy for me because we can study together and share our problems and solve them. We have been taught about Writing part Task 1 & Task 2. Task 1 is about describing various types of graphs and I am not that good at it but I am still practicing at home and Task 2 is about writing an essay of 250+ words which could be on any topic political, environmental or family and friends. The teacher has provided sheets for us to study at home and explore by our own. I have learnt new words which I have never used and plagiarism is not allowed so I am bound to write new words otherwise they won’t count my words. I need to study a lot so that I can fulfil my goal.
After this there are gonna be left speaking, listening and reading so, I know that I can achieve it before the year 2023 ends I can complete my course successfully and apply for abroad studying very soon. Moreover, I feel really happy and excited to complete the course also have made plans for the next year. I just want my this goal to be achieved and then I can peacefully think of my other goals right now I am only focused on IELTS. Anyways, 4months is enough for me to achieve my goal. Overall, I am very confident now of myself and I believe in myself that I can make it fruitful.
