As the year comes to an end I would love to end it with my last post from the Newbies Initiative Program. It has been a smooth ride and I am super grateful I was part of the initiative. I learned a lot, more things about the blockchain, I met new people and created strong bonds with them. In all, I have grown in a space of 3 months. When I look at my growth I am shocked but thank you to everyone who helped in one way or the other.

Go back to your Task 1, check the goals you made and recount those goals, see how you performed. Did you smash those goals? Tell us how and why.
At the beginning of my newbies initiative journey, we were asked to set SMART goals for the next 3 months. When I did set those goals I kept asking myself if these were achievable well that’s why they are SMART goals, achievable goals.
Well let’s get to the re-evaluation:
GOALS FROM WEEK 1
I started by setting a goal in regards to my HP, I had an HP of 176 and the goal was to get it to 350 HP, well I did it and I exceeded my goal by getting an HP of 431.510, I know it’s not much but I was able to get here by powering up monthly and also topping up my engagement.
Notwithstanding I was able to win an HP delegation from Hive keychain recently which I am super thankful for.
3 months back I had 66HBD in my savings and I did set a goal to have 80HBD in 3months time, well I reached my goal. At this point, I have 272HBD in savings. I did this by writing more content and also participating in activities around the blockchain that boosted the growth of my HBD.
I also set a goal to try to get more Hive and I did that by purchasing Hive this has boosted my powering-up goal.
At the time of setting my SMART goals, I had a reputation of 60 and I said I was going to get to 62, I now have a reputation of 63.
In the last 3 months, I increased my engagement level and I got so many connections through it. My engagement on the blockchain opened me to a series of opportunities which has helped in my growth in the last 3 months.
How was your experience in the Newbies initiative, what do you have to say about it?
The Newbies initiative was a mind-opener for me. It opened me to new opportunities and also new ideas, and I got to learn more. I got to know about curation trails, setting financial goals, making connections, power of engagement, blockchain games, and many more.
I would recommend the newbies initiative to every newbie in the blockchain. The teachings were more of interactions. We were lectured with love and questions were answered effectively.
My experience has been nothing short of amazing. Before joining I knew few people on the blockchain but due to the weekly pairing, I have gotten to know and interact with people with great mindsets and also learn from great teachers. All thanks to the Newbies initiative. I’m just 6months on the blockchain but it feels like more than a year already.
If you were to contribute one thing to make the Newbies Initiative perform better, what do think you can do?
The Newbies Initiative is already doing great and I must say the team behind this project is doing a great job.
If there is one thing I would do for the initiative to perform better I would advise that the speakers should have a soft copy of their lectures for the day. On most meeting days some speakers could experience network disruption and then there are breaks in their voice. With a soft copy of their oral lecture, we could have something to fall back on if we experience a network issue.
Regardless, it’s been great and I am glad I was part of this till the last. To the organizers of this and the curators, I am grateful and happy to come across this.
Thank you to the speakers on each day, @starstrings01, @nkemakonam89 @olujay @depressedfuckup @vickoly @justfavour and my team leader @moremoney28 thank you for always answering my questions.
I am very grateful to every newbie I interacted with during this, you all ROCK!!
Thanks for stopping by💕
Cheers 🥂
