From the day when we do born in this world, we are called by so many names until we are big. When we do have some sense of understanding things around us, then we do realize that there is something wrong with this name right. Did this happen to you too?
Most of the time we do get named s power personality if you are a fat child then obviously the children around you called motu (hey fatty) and if you are skinny then the children around you call you Patlu (hey skinny) this is really common here now things are bit different 🙃. Sometimes the name remains the same even if you are young or maybe old enough there are a few friends around you who are gonna tease you for that.

I am sure you have done the same with your friends as well based upon their behaviors and personalities we do often give them a nickname most of the time. Sometimes the case can be a little bit different.

If I do remember properly I did get a few names in my childhood and one of the names I still do remember and many of the people around me recognize me by that nickname. In my school days, I used to sing a song from a movie that has the word buddy. One of my friends hurt while I was singing the song after that everyone start calling me by the nickname buddy. Sometimes I did get scolded by the teacher for that to who my is buddy. 🥴 Now I do nothing but that time it was an awkward situation for me when the teacher asks did that in front of the class.

I was recognized by the name until I passed my 12th class still my school friends do recognize me with that name. One of my friends who is close to me his family members knows me by the name buddy and one day they ask me what is your real name that was something awkward we are for me. 😅
Joining the college my classmates of mine recognized me as bhatt ji, maybe this is the reason why I choose my ~~Steem~~ hive name bhattg, and because it was in my mind always. Now most of my college maids and the staff members do call me by that name no one really cares but my first name is they do recognize me as my last name.

I have seen that people do the same let's say if a man is named as Ramesh Joshi then the possibility of people calling him Joshi ji is more than calling him Ramesh 😅. So getting called by your surname or last name is very common in India even if they don't buy your surname they will make a nickname for you according to your personality of course. The thing is simple people around you are not going to change but you can change just accept what they are calling you if you don't want to be recognized by that name you shouldn't respond to them.
Aur if you think the name is updated inappropriately or you did get offended by that name. You can start ignoring them or you can fight for them you always do have choices. If you have no idea why they have given you this name then you can ask them and get yourself and then shell clear.
