I started blogging about a year ago, Hive is my first ever blogging experience. I have written about how I joined hive a couple of times but for those who don’t know. I got to join courtesy of @nonsowrites after much persuasion. My initial scepticism was that I was not a good writer but he convinced me that hive is the best place to learn.
Before that, I would have never imagined myself as a blogger. I have had people try to invite me to other blogging websites but I kept turning them down for the same reason. I would say my experience in hive has been blissful.
The moment I joined I was welcomed by so many awesome people and communities. I had help from oldies like nonsowrites, starstrings and a host of others. Whenever I came across something I didn’t understand I would go to Nonso for clarification and if he cannot help me I would also ask one of the others.
It did not take much to get me to stick around, once I noticed that this is a safe place, with friendly people who are willing to help, there was not much of a decision to make to keep coming back.
So now, lt is time to answer the question posed by hive learners for this episode.
Do I blog with my phone or a PC?
I mostly do all my blogging with my phone as I do not own a PC. Although whenever I get the chance at work I use my work PC to engage as I have linked my profile there to make it easier since I cannot use my phone while at work. I do prefer the blogging experience of a PC as compared to that of a phone. Writing is also easier when you are typing with your ten fingers. However, when I am not at work and do not have access to a PC, I use my phone to blog.
Do I write my words down first or type them directly?
I always type directly, whatever book I have is to write my next crochet idea when I get them, so I don’t forget. For blogging it is easier for me to carry my phone and type whatever it is I want to write, even when it is just an idea, I write that in my phone’s notepad.
How have I found blogging to be so far?
So far blogging has been wonderful. To a large extent I am grateful I started on a platform that is not toxic because I have heard stories about other blogging websites and if I had started my blogging experience from those, I would have stopped a long time ago. Blogging has allowed me to learn and better myself. I have learned how to be a better writer, connect with people, learn about cultures from around the world, and so on. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without this platform--hive.
I am still relatively new to blogging so I believe I still have a lot to learn and I am glad I will be able to do that here on Hive.
Thanks for stopping by❤
