When it comes to schooling, every parents wants the best and quality education for their children. No parent would want to send their child to a school where they can't bring out the best from them. it is the joy of every parent for their children to be the best version of themselves.
So when it comes to Children attending Public or Private School and which one is better, there are different approach to this comparison. Most parents could not afford to take their children to the private school they feel would be the best for their kid, so they have no choice than to settle for the cheap ones government has provided for their kids. Some parents also believe private school are all hype collecting high tuition fee, they have low qualified teachers compared to that of the public schools.

Which did you attend PRIVATE or PUBLIC school?
I was privileged to attend both kind of school (the private and the public) but mostly private. The one I attended was a private school run under the government because the owner is a politician, so he used his power to persuade the government to see the school as part of them. We still operated like the private school standard, but we had a government badge if you understand...
Did you enjoy your schooling
Private school is fun because you are exposed to updated facilities, unlike the public schools that complains of low quality facilities. You can do variety of sports because we have high skilled teachers in that field, and because we are not much like the public schools everyone can be carried along the same time, which makes it more fun.
What were the benefits of the type of school
Although no one is better than the other but I feel Private school is more preferable than public schools to some extent. For example;
Standard Library

When it comes to standard libraries, the private school has it. In my country we find so many public schools complain of not having a standard library where they can go and read and do their research. If you go to some public schools their libraries are empty because the government has refused to remember them, they keep schooling like that hoping for the government to remember them one day.
But in private school they know the students are paying a huge amount of money for tuition fee, so they ensure there are standard library that is well equipped so that student can get quality books that they can update themselves on.
Crowd
In private school you find less crowd compare to public schools. When there is too much student in a class it is hard for a teacher to carry all student along. In public schools you find hundreds of students in one class which is not good, all the student can not move at the same pace of learning making some students to be left behind.
In private school there are lesser number of students, so there lesser chances for any student to be left behind, because the teacher can carry all the students along to some extent.
Serious teachers
In public schools there are well qualified teachers but most of them are unserious. This public school teacher feel the government does not have time to come and inspect them, so they become very lazy to update themselves to latest standard and curriculum.
But in the private school, teachers are very serious because they know if they do not do well they can be sacked anytime. I will say in conclusion there is more discipline for teachers in private school than in public schools.
What do you feel must be changed about them?
Public schools
When it comes to primary education, private schools use to be the right choice but in higher and tertiary institutions, public are seen as the most preferred.
one the issues common in public schools are strikes, this affects the time a student is expected to graduate, you hardly ecounter strike in private schools. The government has to ensure they keep up to standard and should not hesitate to fix problem concerning this public institutions before it gets out of hand.
There should be strong discipline for both student and teachers in public schools. The government should send representatives to always inspect the teachers in the public schools to ensure they are meeting up to standard, with this measures taken the public schools can progress.
Private schools
When it comes to private school there is a lot of restrictions and you find their fees very expensive for no reason. I understand it is a private school but they should cut their outrageous tuition fees.
Most Private schools teachers are sometimes low qualified compare to the public schools especially in my countries. You find teachers with O'level certificate teaching in private schools why in public schools the government would not allow that. They should ensure that their teachers are well qualified for the teaching job. There are some things that need to be changed but these are the ones I have observed for now.
