Hello everyone, how are you doing this glorious day? I hope the week is off to a good start and you are really settling in? It is all good, no matter how it goes always remember to smile and exude positivity. It always makes the day a better one.
Today is the 24th of January, and we are celebrating another momentous day. It is the day set aside for the celebration of National Compliment Day.
The name seems to say it all, so I should not really have much to say. We all know that if I should choose to delve into the beauty of a day like this alone, I could be typing for days and I would not be anywhere near done. But still, I have to put in a word or two.
We have a day like this just to show people we appreciate them for being in our lives or for what they are doing. They don’t necessarily have to be family or friends; they might not be coworkers or neighbors. These might not be people you get to come into contact with on a daily basis, it can be the beggar that is always on your street, it could be the delivery guy it could be the cashier at the bank, or even the trader at the market.
It does not matter who they are to us, everyone deserves a compliment. The truth is that we can never know the struggles people are going through because things like that do not show on the face, people can be suffering and still be smiling. It is very popular especially in today’s world that does not seem fair to the vast majority.
So, when you see people do things out of the goodness of their hearts, it always goes a long way when you compliment them because it encourages them to do more and be better. Compliments always put smiles on people’s faces, even the littlest of them make one’s day so much better.
So, wherever you go, not just today, tell that waiter she is beautiful, tell that beggar that you like his smile, tell that delivery man that you like his punctuality. In this way, you will be spreading your positive energy around your immediate environment and you will find that the energy will be reciprocated to you. That is just how the law of nature works. And so, I do hope that you pay someone a compliment today, like I said they do not have to be related or connected to you. They just have to be humans like you. And also in that vein, I hope you get complimented. And even if you don’t get it, I want to tell you that you have a beautiful smile. Yes, I can see it as you are reading this.
