While growing up, I have endangered my life in many ways and the last time I did something that could cost me my life was in the year 2018. I would share 2 stories, the first was during my childhood and the second happened 6 years ago.
The reason why parents are always advised to monitor their children is because most children ain't scared of pulling stunts when they are young, they always want to try new things and some of the games they play can be dangerous without them knowing because they do not have experience or know someone who suffered from what they are doing.
When I was a kid, my friends and I would create a Motor by combining two water bottles cover or any kind of the same cover with a nail and using a stick to drive it, my mum did not like me playing with it and she would flog me whenever she sees me with it so I started hiding it from her.
She later discovered that I was still doing it behind her, so she called me to sit beside her and she told me a story
It was the story of a man that no lady wanted to marry because he only had one eye, none of them wanted to marry a one-eyed man, and this became a thorn in his flesh, he was not happy with life, one day he visited his mum to ask her what happened to his eye.

She told him it happened when he was a kid, he was pushing a stick, and a neighbor collected it from him but because he was crying, she collected the stick from the neighbor and gave it back to him and just a few minutes after while pushing the stick, it hit a stone on the ground which made it stop moving and shooked him in the eyes.
The woman was sobbing while narrating the story, the man said she could have allowed him to cry, and that he would have cried and stopped crying after a few minutes because the cry she did not want years ago is what he now does every day in his adulthood... The man later committed suicide because no one wanted him and his life was meaningless.
It is not good to pamper a child too much because that could hurt the child, if you see your children doing something that can hurt them, stop them and if necessary flog them so they can stop to avoid what happens to the one-eyed man.
Then I remembered how I also almost lost one of my eyes while driving the motor stick, it only scraped the side of my eyes and I was scared after I heard the story, was that how I could have lost my eye too, Since then, I stopped driving it.
The one that happened in 2018 was a contest I participated in online..
This contest involved drinking 2 beers and the person who used the shortest time to finish the 2 beers would be the winner but there was a time limit which was 3 minutes.
Many people said they couldn't risk their organs to perform in such a contest and some were ready to do it, I was among those who were willing to partake in the contest but the only difference was I don't drink, so before that time, I have never drank a half bottle of beer talkless of 2 and also within a very short time but I was ready to do it for the money and I did!
I drank 2 stars but I vomited immediately I finished it in 2 minutes 54 secs because my body could not take it, but what If I did vomit and it damaged my organs or even killed me.
I did not know the consequence of the stunt I pulled that day until months later when I started seeing news that people died as a result of such stunt and I thank God for keeping me safe when I did it.
