You can't know the true nature of a person until they have power or are in a position of power, what is power? It can be defined in many ways but it gives you more influence over others.
There are many ways to get power, some wield power by joining gangs that protect them and they use that to put fear in others and discipline those who go against them, I have never been in a position where a gang member is threatening me and I pray you don't find yourself in such too but based on stories I have heard and movies, the victims live in fear, There was a movie I watched where one cultist was crushing on a lady, he asks the girl out but she refused and also told him she has a boyfriend.
When the harassment was too much, she told her boyfriend who was also in the same school, he went to confront the cultist, and the next day, he was found dead in his hostel, it didn't end there because that same night, the lady was also raped in her hostel, that is how dreadful some cultist can be.
Some people are put in powerful positions in their place of work and end up abusing those below them, and the greatest of all is having money, I don't mean small money, Money that is big enough to control large masses and other high positions.
There are cases in which some people who are in high positions at work have used their position in a bad way like when a lady is seeking a job in a company and the manager asks her for sex before he can give her the job.
One happened to me years ago when I was working in a private school...
It is okay to set a rule but before setting a rule, you need to do the rightful things so that people won't break the rule.
In this school, they have a dress code, one for Monday, another for Tuesday, Wednesday is sports day, Thursday another one and Friday it is recommended that teachers should put on natives...
The dress code was the rule that all the teachers should abide by....
it was the principal of the secondary school that made this rule and she wants us in the primary sector to abide by it.
The problem here is that the lowest salary for secondary school teachers starts from 30,000 Naira so they should be able to afford those clothes but it is not the same for me and some of the other primary school teachers, the highest amount paid to the pry school teachers was 15 000 and I was being paid 8,000 Naira monthly.
How will you expect me to start buying clothes when the money is not enough to cover my food bills for the month, it is ridiculous!
I Just put on what I had and the principal kept complaining and it got to the extent that I decided to purchase 1 of the dress code, which was a pink shirt and a black trouser to match for Tuesday... It cost me 4,000 Naira!
I had sportswear too, the only dress code missing was the one for Thursday and I stopped caring less about what she said whenever I missed the dress code.
It was a rainy Thursday morning after assembly when the principal entered my classroom and told me to go home and change to the dress code, I was angry and I went directly to the proprietress's office to report her but I was disappointed and hurt when the proprietress didn't say anything and told me to obey her...
I was angry and didn't even wait for the rain drizzling to stop, I entered it and left the school premises never to return... I guess the proprietress thought I would go and change or maybe come back the next day but she was shocked when I didn't, she called me and I said I was not coming back.
I was taking two classes and getting paid for one class, I was also the one taking all the pry school computer studies, I was an asset to her but my salary was small because of my certificate, I never complained and did my job well and she had to fuck herself up because of dress code, Of course, no one is irreplaceable but she will definitely pay more for the two classes and also another teacher to teach the student computers.
