I have received kindness from people a lot of times, it makes me believe that good people are still many in the world and tonight I will be sharing one act of kindness I received from a woman which still lingers in my memory.
Many years ago, when I was still in secondary school, there was a day we were doing a registration which ended late in the evening, most of the students had gone home when I realized my transport fare is missing.
A cold shiver ran through my spine because I was all alone, my classmates and friends we lived in the same town had all gone home, and it would soon be dark.
I didn't know how to beg or ask for help, I was not brought up that way... When I got to the garage I saw passengers on the bus and I was tempted to ask one of them for help but even though my mind agreed, my body refused to move, I just stood there watching the passengers for like 5 minutes then I realized it was an impossible task for me...
The only option was for me to wait at the gate of the garage and pray that someone who lives in my area pass by and help me, I went there and prayed silently in my mind, I became more scared because it was already getting dark but God does not leave His own...

Barely 15 minutes of standing at the gate, one woman who lives in my street entered the gate and saw me, My heart was filled with hope and I greeted her, she recognized me and responded, again I could not ask for help but I was silently praying the woman would ask me why I was at the garage by that time, I just kept looking at her and it seems she understood the pleas in my eyes, she did not ask me any question, instead she just asked me to enter the cab, I can't describe how happy I was because she was my only hope at that moment of need.
When we got to our bus stop, My mum a woman like no other was already there waiting for me and was already planning to come and search for me in the school but was told by others to wait a bit more since some of the students already told them we were doing some registration and that was why we were all late... So even if that woman had not helped me, she would have come for me when she grew out of patience, it would have just taken longer, God bless all mothers out there... and God bless that woman who helped a boy in need.
She must have forgotten what she did but I will forever remember her kindness.
Unfortunately, I do not remember who treated me badly or where I have been treated badly... I guess it is a good thing... we must learn to forget and forgive those who treated us badly... Remembering such things only takes peace away from our minds... Moreover, people like that are not worth remembering, they do not deserve a space in our minds and memories... They are bad memories that should be wiped out.
