I do not know nor can I speak for other countries but Hive has been a blessing to us in Nigeria.

Our average salary in Nigeria is not up to 50,000 naira [$54] and people earning below 50k Naira are more than 60 percent of the population. Only a few lucky ones earned above that amount and with the ongoing inflation of our currency which causes the rapid increase in the prices of goods and services, that amount is barely enough to meet the needs of a bachelor not to talk of a family man.
Most youth in Nigeria especially those who just graduated from college earn a salary of 30,000 Naira [$32], trust me I am being generous with this amount I called because some even earn way less than this and life has been very difficult for them, it is from one debt to another and by the time the month ends, the salary won't be enough to settle the debt talkless of having enough to save.

The Hive platform is a dream job for many of us because it offers us a lot in terms of.
Source of income: The hive platform was not designed to be a job for members but for Africans, it seems to be a full-time job to us because we can survive on our earnings from posts, Nigerians earning above 5 dollars on all their daily post do not need an offline job because hive pays more.
Comfortability: Nothing beats working from home and not having to face the stress from traffics and the heat from the sun, most importantly Hard labor is out of it, we just stay indoors and work on our laptop and phones, It is a life many people dream of and that is what hive offers us.
Networking: Hive is a source of information and connection, I have learnt so many things during my stay on the Hive platform and also know many people, that wouldn't have been possible without Hive blockchain existence.
Hive is everything to me, I am glad to be among the early adopters.
Honestly, I have lost the enthusiasm to onboard people to the hive platform, I am in a place where many people are interested in joining the platform but based on past experience, I ignored many and keep postponing others because I do not want to bring people that will affect my growth.
We can never know who will plagiarise until they do nor can we know who meant well or bad until their action speaks for them.
I am being careful but it doesn't mean I don't onboard 1 or 2 people once in a while, life is a risk and risk is worth taking for certain people.
Building our hive power is a way to support others on the platform which is something I have been doing, I am trying to spread my vote now as much as possible which is kind of going to affect people on my auto-vote because I keep reducing their percentage due to mana ish, I want to be able to spread the 0.1cent to different people either on auto or manual vote.
I also try to help friends by lending them hive/hbd when I have it and they need it, it hurt not to see someone lend us money when we needed it the most and because of some bad people's shitty attitude toward returning money they borrowed, many people are now being careful when it comes to lending money but we must not let the bad ones ruin things for the Upright..
I am trying my best to spread the love both online and offline and I know it will only get better as time goes on.
