Oh, have I seen the many wonders of science. I truly believe that most things we can only imagine right now and some of which we never envisaged would likely be made possible and would become a thing of reality in only years to come. While I appreciate the wonders of science, I see, in certain inventions, the harm that humans and our earth are faced with by their existence and by mistakes that may occur from improper use. Some of these, I recall, others, I don't.

I've been binge watching one of my best movies, which is 'the last ship' and it was evident the works of science and how these tools can be turned against the world, from nuclear weapons(which i don't see why there should be and unending production and array of these things that could wipe out a nation if we weren't all about wars), through to medical exploits and then mutations and on. There's just so much the mind can conceive and which can be made.
Only days ago, I think it was about a week, though. I gave my response to a topic on genetic mutation. You know, this is about one aspect of science and evolution that I don't agree with. In the movie, the last ship, a particular chapter when a red flu had invaded the globe causing severe pains and wiping nations, a particular doctor, who was positive for the virus but didn't show symptoms, took samples of the virus, mixed it up with his gene and then injected it back into himself. Thereafter, he went about spreading the virus(which is airborne, by the way). Now, by means of that mutation, people who came in contact with him amd contracted the virus would ahow symptoms and die, but, it would prove difficult and highly impossible for any scientist to come up with a cure. He hoped he could get the cure and sort of gain control of the world for himself also knowing knowing that everyone in the world would have his gene in them, but he couldn't and knowing he did not have such luck, he hoped that whoever would, would find a way to him. And it gets even more interesting.
I don't know if you get this. In fact, just go see the movie. It's brilliant!
Last time, the topic was on mutations, and if I welcomed it. I stated quite clearly that it was a catchy offer yet a tricky and equally harmful one considering that in the world that we live in, humans could get selfish and be abusive and the repercussions will be heavy on society, causing misdemeanors. Mutation seems just perfect in situations whereby the aim is to get rid of abnormalities and/or life-threatening conditions or any case else that would alter the quality of a person's life. Otherwise, no.
It's really wild and scary what science can do. And I see some, if not most, of these mutations as unnecessary.
Thanks for gracing this post.
