I've always been an open minded person and one who isn't scared of saying his mind, I prefer to say things as they are instead of sugar coating them. There was this time in secondary school I once told my physics teacher that physics was just too broad for him to understand and instead of taking my advice, he lashed out on me.
Well, I got the beating of my life, I think five virgin cains got molested and dumped that same day. At least I was able to speak my mind and gain an audience with the principal who ended up seeing reason with me at the end. I don't know why, but I'm not one who tries to please anyone.
That's why I'll be filling you on reasons why you should leave Hive right away. I've been on Hive for close to nine months or so and during this time I've been here and there, I've done my research and I've also experienced a lot. Now I've made up my mind to leave and I think you should too.
Reasons why You Should Leave Right Away
For me they're a lot of reasons why everyone one on Hive should be well on their way to find greener pastures. I don't think you'll think twice after reading through this post, let me warn you though, you'll have to read the whole thing. So what are my reasons:
Hive consumes A lot of Time!
I'm sure a lot of you would agree with me on this one. Hive takes a lot of valuable time, and that's a big problem. It's not like any other social media platform, over here you really get addicted. The moment you enter this space you're hooked, each day you find yourself coming back for more.
The worst thing is that all the time spent here is worth it because you get paid for doing everything, from making comments, to curating and making good content. It's really nothing compared to other platforms where you waste your time replying chats and probably getting meaningless likes on your post.
It's gruesomely disturbing! and scary, you should leave now that you have the chance.
Hive is over-hyped
There's been a lot of buzz about the future of Hive and how it's so great and so on. A lot of people have actually predicted that Hive is going to grow tremendously well in the next 3years. Sigh, Hive is one of the fastest growing decentralized platforms and it has changed a lot of lives.
Projects like PolyCUB, Splinterlands, Psyber X, LEO, Vyb and so on are looking to positively impact Web 3 developments and bring a lot of users with it. Hive is barely two years and it's already showing so much promise, I wonder how it'll be like when it's ten years or more. Well, I wouldn't wonder because I'll not be here any more.
The Love is tiring
Ever been to a place where you're showered with so much love and then you get irritated. Well...Hive is the place. They're a lot of old people and young and people who don't have pets to shower their love on and they choose you to show all that love.
Imagine waking everyday to upvotes from @theycallmedan or @taskmaster4450 or @aliento or @appreciator, wait just imagine that, and worst is you don't even deserve that sort of love but they show it to you anyway. There's always support from all angle, you'll be more irritated when you come in contact with the @dreemport server, these set of people are more supportive than Jesus' disciples were.
They'll drop encouraging comments on your posts, help you understand how the platform works if you're a newbie and help you grow, like who does that. I certainly don't what to even talk about the @vyb.vyb Community, those set of individuals are heartbreaking, they're so receptive and believe me they'll end up making you want to make friends. I certainly don't want that, I'm not open to friendships and you shouldn't too.
They'll Force you to Learn, I hate learning!
All my time spent here on Hive has been full of learning, like I've had enough of college already. Learning, learning, learning, I'm tired, I don't like learning, I've had enough of school, can't a dude just go a day without learning?
I had no knowledge of Web 3 technology, crypto or even blogging. But since I came here I've met a lot of amazing authors (with their shoulders) who make one of the best contents ever, from storytelling, to financial advice, to copyrighting and blogging, the list is just endless, everything can be found here especially now that they're play to earn games and even an NFT showroom, you can do virtually anything here.
For real, you get to learn a lot of new things, you get to build your network of friends and make very strong connections that'll probably move you from the trenches into a better life. That's too much! That's a lot to take in, I'm leaving, I can't take it anymore, my brain has already had it.
You'll quit your job
Yes, now this is one of the most pressing of all reasons why you should leave. I've had a lot of friends who've had to quit their shitty jobs and work full time on Hive. The funny thing is that Hive can actually sustain you, it actually got @nonsowrites a new car and even helped @iskafan get a new place and fully furnish it.
I'm sure it has done a lot more for a whole number of people. You wouldn't even have to do too much, you're working from the comfort of your house or even anywhere you find yourself. You just have to be consistent and try as much as possible to create good contents. You'll be surprised how well you'll grow from getting $0.5 payouts on posts to probably $50, @starstrings01 can testify.
It's still painful though why you'll leave your job and start living in luxury. The government certainly doesn't want that. If everyone are busy making so much money without stress who'll rely on the government for anything, hehehe. Go back to your job now that you can and quit playing around.
I hope I've been quite convincing, if I haven't then I guess you'll have to experience these things for yourself, let me warn you, don't say I didn't warn you. As I end this post, my bags have been all packed up. It's time for me to go, there's no turning back now. I'm going back to living from hand to mouth, feels like the best kind of life... Doesn't it??!!
A very big appreciation to @hiveio and instituting this challenge. I'll also seize this opportunity to say happy birthday to hive.
