Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt: government-owned vs. privately owned.
People keep complaining how terrible the government sectors are; if not that, most of their services are cheap and free. I don't think anyone will like to go there. When I see a post about the government sector, the only things that come to my mind are government hospitals and schools. It is really painful that the government can't equip their hospitals and schools.
You cannot compare the privately owned sector with that of the government. The private sector is so focused and determined in rendering their service. One thing about private sectors is their staff can't be paid for a service they didn't render. I can remember back then in my primary school I attended a public school. My teacher only came to school two times in a week; at the end of the month she received her salary.
When it comes to health services, the government is less expensive; their standard is very poor. Our government neglects the health center's in our community. Even then, the government doesn't visit the government hospital because there is no equipment there. They run to private hospitals for treatment because their hospitals are well equipped. The private sector creates a good structure, and their services are expensive. It is very painful that government hospitals and schools are nothing to write home about.
Last two years ago, in the middle of the night, my daddy was shouting at the top of his voice. It was very critical; his chest was paining him. There is this government hospital very close to us. We rushed my daddy to the hospital. Getting to the hospital, there was no electric light. A whole government hospital was using candlelight. That didn't bore me because all I wanted was for my dad to be okay at that moment. What my daddy needed was doctor attention, and those doctors were not on site. We had to carry my daddy to a private hospital that night. Getting there, a test was run, and immediately the doctor and the nurses commenced treatment on my daddy. I don't know what could have been our fate that night. Thank God we were able to rush my dad to the hospital. In some states, their government hospitals are well equipped, making life very easy. If the government should set a standard in the hospitals, life will be easy, and it will reduce loss of life. Most people can't afford private hospitals; their bills are too expensive.
When it comes to the education sector, the government school is very poor. That is why every parent is trying their best to make sure they enrol their kids in private schools where they can learn in a conducive environment. The education system in the government school is very bad on most occasions. The government sectors are well equipped, but the lack of proper management is the problem we keep having.
Government work is one of the best jobs to do because the work is so flexible. They don't use their staff like the private sector. Every payment you receive in the private sector, you mostly work for it.
I will be very delighted if our government and politicians will look into all this government sector and make sure that the facilities are being managed properly. I don't think there will be a need for private hospitals and private schools, and it will reduce loss of life. I know the majority of people who lost their lives because they were unable to pay their hospital bills. If our government hospitals are up to a standard, it will play a vital role in the lives of the citizens.
