Good day, amazing people of the hive block chain. Welcome back to my blog.
Is this another amazing week in the newbies community? It's newbies o'clock. Stay tuned.
As usual, we had our meeting on Sunday. Our host was @starstrings01 and our tutor was @olujay. He did justice to the topic. Before, I never knew that one could monitor her growth on the block chain. He really enlightened me on Sunday. Thanks, @olujay, for that. I own your hug.
Question 1
Explain why it is important for you to track and monitor your progress in the hive.
It is important that I track and monitor my progress here in the hive. Monitoring my account will motivate me to do more in the block chain; it will help me know when I am not doing well and if I am able to achieve my set goals, and if I am not doing well, I have to sit up and do more work. The fact that I have my account monitored will always make me hunger for more.
Question 2
Find your account on Hivebuzz and then show a screenshot of your profile; hence, explain what your marine character means and then what the six numbers about you mean.
The fish above represent our growth and achievements in the hive.
Here is my account on Hivebuzz. My marine character is a red fish. This shows what I have achieved and my progress in the hive. The hivebuzz is about stages; you need to complete one stage before you can go to another. From my marine character, it shows that I need to sit up because I have work to do. Seeing my marine character makes me hunger to do more, which really motivates me to work hard.
It displays the total number of posts I have made so far, comments, curation rewards, and posts I have curated from day one on Hive.
Question 3
Find your profile on hivestats, and then provide details on your effective hp, author, and curation rewards in the last seven days, then explain what they each mean and tell about your account.
Firstly, I log into the official website, hivestats.io.
Above is my profile on Hivestats.
Below is my curation reward for the past seven days in the hive block chain.
Author reward: This is my personal reward—the reward I get whenever I make a post.
Curation reward: This is a reward I get for curation and engaging in other people's posts. Looking at my curation reward, it is seriously very low, which means I am not really doing well. I need to engage in people's posts for better results.
This is the breakdown of my hive power (hp) with screenshot.
My hive power (hp) 260.78hp
Effective hp - 159.94hp
My delegated hp 100.84
- Delegation means someone delegating his or her hive power to enhance the growth of the community and individual. The delegator will also get a reward for the delegation.
Effective HP: This means the current HP I am working with after I delegated my HP to the community and some users.
Question 4
Find the lazy-panda curation trail and follow it. Customize the trail according to weight, method, and wait time as desired. Then enable the trial if you really want to be part of it and show a screenshot.
Step 1: Choose any browser of your choice and type in hive vote. Once it opens, it will display this.
Step 2: Click on the curation trail and search for lazy panda.
Step 3: After I search for Lazy Panda, I followed the curation trail by clicking on the follow button, then I set my weight percentage of votes and time interval.
This is a screenshot of how I set up my curation trail with Lazy Panda.
Question 5
Configure and set up Friday to give you notifications and provide a step-by-step explanation with a screenshot.
Firstly, I click on the link sent to us at the newbies initiative discord channel by @olujay. With the link, I was able to access the Friday discord channel.
Next, I joined the Friday channel and registered the account I wish to monitor. I messaged Friday directly for me to register the account, which I will love to monitor.
This is my response to the newbies task 6. Thanks to all the people who put heads together to help the newbies, which I really appreciate. This week's task is my favorite.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really appreciate your comments, support, and upvote.
