If the road and water are to be privatised, it will go a long way to ensure that the facilities are well maintained and the best products will be used for the construction of the road and water. One thing about private companies is that they use the best, and they are very good at maintaining their establishments. One thing about private companies is that they joke with anything that will benefit their company. Privatising government infrastructure is not bad, especially in a country where the government fails to provide that infrastructure for the people.
Seeing this prompt, I was like, What will the world be like if the major social amenity is to be privatised? Many issues will come up if government infrastructure is privatised; the majority of the people may not afford their services. Everything that gives an advantage most surely has disadvantages. Yes, we will not have full access to most of the facilities, but it will be well managed by the private company that will use the best equipment and make sure that it is maintained. Any establishment owned by a private is properly maintained. Although if the private sector has to handle these amenities, it is in safe hands because they will try their best to maintain a good standard on several occasions. The government of my state will fix a road, but after three years the road will go bad, but if it is handled by the private sector, they will use the best quality.
One thing about private companies is they are into competition; any investment that gives them money, they don’t joke with it. They will use the best quality and make sure that the road and water are properly maintained; they go for the best whenever they are doing any project. One thing about the private sector is that they are goal-orientated, and the efficiency of most establishments owned by private companies is built to a standard. Privatising things will make things worse and difficult for the less privileged.
One thing about the private sector is that they are after the money and not the welfare of the people. Water and roads are two of the essential needs of man. Privatisation will lead to denying people who can’t afford their services access to the good road and water. People will not have access to the social amenities; it will be sold at a higher cost for them.
Water and roads: these two are essential to man. It is very important that people have access to these amenities.
In my opinion, the private sector will not benefit the poor masses. Let’s put into consideration people who can’t afford their services; life will be very hard for me. I still prefer the government taking care of the social amenities of the people.
