The use of drugs for physical activities has been in existence; it is no longer a new thing. Most times, I ask myself, Why are these people taking drugs before performance? I can’t really lay my hands on why they should take drugs before going to perform. I don’t want to believe that they are weak; could it be that they are lazy or addicted to drugs?
I’m not into sports that much, but coming across this topic, I have to ask my elder brother why performance enhancers take drugs. According to my brother, he said it is for them to be more active in the field. People like that really need drugs for them to be active. Training can make them active, and they can perform very well without drugs.
Sport is one exercise I love, so it is really fun. It is a game that is played with passion, determination, strength, and ability. Taking drugs to enhance your performance is not really good; most of those drugs are very harmful to the body system. It is against the sport's rules and regulations, so going against the rules of physical activity is very harmful. That is why it is banned in physical activity.
I think most of the performers are taking drugs because of a lack of information and ignorance. Most of them taking the drugs don’t know how damaging they are. I have seen some performance enhancers who were so addicted to drugs that the outcome was not funny at all.
I don’t want to believe that people who take these drugs are too lazy to practice or go for training; for me, sport requires our strength and not drugs. You may think you are doing well for yourself by playing no stop in the sport, and everyone is hailing you. You are killing yourself by yourself, and before you know it, you will be moving from one hospital to another.
General drugs are bad. You may not know what you are doing to yourself, but as time goes on, you will realise how badly you are managing your body system. Physical activity is one thing I love; it helps us stay strong and healthy. Someone who is a performance enhancer doesn’t need drugs.
Dangers for performance enhancers
It will damage your body system.
You will stop performing.
It may lead to a kidney or liver problem.
You will be so addicted to drugs that you can’t do without them.
I am against performance enhancers taking drugs; they can perform very well with drugs. Sport doesn’t need drugs; all that is required is your strength and training. Sport is really fun; you don’t need drugs to show the world how skilled you are. Performance enhancers should avoid drugs; they are very dangerous to their health.
