“I think it’s a big deal to have a great soundtrack for a movie.” says Rita Ora. Before people (playwright, dramatists, audience) started having this great interest in movie sound track, all their attention is always on the movie/play not minding the sound that comes with it. They only give and pay attention to some elements of drama like the script, plot, characters, diction, stage, prop, theme, and so on. But now, there is more attention on sound track as there is in other elements of drama

If you've ever watched a movie, then you've heard a sound track. Sound track is the sound played at the background of a movie. A movie can have more than one sound track. The sound track of a movie can be specially written and prepared for the movie while existing popular songs or instruments are also used. It is essential to use sound track in plays to push the plot forward as well as move the story to a higher level of intensity. This helps to accompany the actions in the movie and supply something real to the whole scenario

Before, only movie is sold, but now people queue to buy sound tracks apart from the movie that uses the song as underscore. Disney’s Snow White animated feature film sold their movie sound track commercially which was tagged the first ever sound track to be sold and the music collections was releases as well in 1938. There are other sound tracks sold from different movies like "West Side Story", "Hamilton and Trainspotting", "The Wizard of Oz", "Breakfast at Tiffany’s", and so on

I've watched many movies with nice sound tracks. I'm pretty sure I can't list them all if I count but at least, there are a few that rings in my head every now and then whenever something related to the movies happens around me. Out of all the sound tracks, I would chose the one composed and sang by The Lark herself in the movie titled

This movie talks about three kingdoms (Xin’trea, Pryshia, and Darwen ) at war for one thousand years. All the kingdoms have lowborn and highborn. The lowborn are the citizens of the kingdom living on the street while the highborn are the ones protecting the kings and Queens in the palace. King Alvitir of Xin’trae, the brave architect of a new dawn for elfkind invited King Midir of pryshia and his raven clan warriors and Queen Neera of Darwen and her Serpent clan warriors, for peace treaty to put an end to the long war and join with him as allies in the new dawn. Before, the signing of the treaty was announced, A warrior (Fjall Stoneheart) from the Dog clan, guiding the princess of Xin’trea was banished from Xin’trea for copulating with the princess, and the Daughter of Lady cethlenn the knives of the Raven clan called “The Lark” left home because she chose to become a roving bard instead of a warrior guiding the kings and the royal house in Pryshia

The princess (king Xin’trea’s sister) connived with the chief sage to wipe out the whole clans (King Midir of pryshia and his raven clan warriors and Queen Neera of Darwen and her Serpent clan warriors with king alvitir himself and the dog clan worriors) using a monster creature given to him from another world on the day they were signing the peace treaty

The princess became the Queen but was restricted to her chambers while the sage and his groups dictate the affairs of the state leaving the citizens in starvation. The song that the Lark composed became the sound track in some part of the movie which talks about how people are suffering and the need for all to rise up for freedom

Rise up and let them feel our thorns. Rise up and let them hear our roar. That was the only time they were charged to fight for freedom. The song was sang in the movie and was also used as one of the sound track. Apart from the melody and the music composition. It also creates pattern and establishes pace in the play

At the end, The lark met with other six estranged warriors who create the very first version of a witcher who fought side by side with the unstoppable empire and won giving new life to the lowborn

The sound track keeps ringing in my head when we (the Nigerian) youth came out to protest against SARS. It was bloody but all were determined. Again, we came out to vote out the corrupt leaders because we rose to let them feel our thorns and hear our roar. Nothing like that has ever happened in the history of the Nigerian democracy. Though the election was rigged, we are hoping that the court would judge right and give us back our mandate as we’ve risen to fight for freedom. Hopefully, the lowborn days will come
