You understand what a goal is. You've probably established goals for yourself in the past and met them, or gone close to meeting them. But what qualifies a goal as "smart"?
A wise objective is one that is specific, quantifiable, and achievable. (SMART). It also includes a time range so you can track your progress over time--and if it isn't completed by then, something is amiss with either your plan or the execution of said strategy. I'm @cleevesh I'm glad to be participating in the newbie initiative and awareness created by @starstrings01 and I'm most glad to be under the tutelage of my boss @moremoney28 the team leader for Team 3.
Why setting goals for two months is important: In this post, I will be discussing the benefits of setting short-term goals, I'm going to be sharing a few steps on how I'm going to execute my SMART GOALS.
Step 1: Set Clear Goals
This is basically the first step and the crucial aspect of this spectrum, It entails determining what you want to achieve and outlining the procedures required to get there. A well-defined objective keeps you focused, motivated, and accountable while also serving as a baseline for gauging progress and success. Here are the following Steps;
- Identify what I want to accomplish
- Break down my goals into smaller, achievable steps by making them more realistic
- Create a time bound
Step 2: Make a Plan
Just like the first step, this step is a lot more important than Step 1 because it's one thing to set out a clear vision is another thing to make plans for execution, in this step I'm going to be stating my clear goals, and giving an in-depth plan for execution.
~ Identifying what I want to accomplish
There are basically differently achievable segments on HIVE, from gaining HP to Tokens to HBD, etc (PS: they work together) what this means is that I can save my HBD or engage in several contests to gain tokens, etc but my actual goal for the next two months as follows;
GOALS
- Attain three hundred HP (300HP) in two months
- Get at least 20 more followers within two months
- Get 1000 comment
- Build my reputation to 65
And how will I achieve this? That leads me to my next point which is,
~ Break down my goals into smaller, achievable steps by making them more realistic
To break down a goal, I need to identify the steps required to achieve it and then create a plan that outlines each of these steps in detail. The steps should be specific, measurable, and achievable within a reasonable timeframe. This may involve breaking the larger goal into smaller sub-goals, or breaking each sub-goal into even smaller tasks.
I'm going to be breaking down all these goals that I want to achieve in this section.
HIVE POWER
First, I must post as least 4 posts a week and they should be of quality, why? Because the better the post quality the greater possibility of getting quality upvotes, which will of course boost not just my HP but my HBD
Secondly, engage with people and create quality relationships, this might not exactly have massive benefits but it does have an effect underground, With this whenever I post there's a high possibility of getting my post reblogged when it's been reblogged I can also get possible upvotes from their end.
GET FOLLOWERS
Presently I have 18 followers and in two months I plan on having 20 more followers how will I do that, break down as follows
I'll engage in a community contest: this is very important because not only will be getting rewards whenever I win but it will help boost my connection and exposure amongst several communities I engage In.
Create quality post There's a popular saying that says Good Things Attracts Good People so basically Good Post Attract More Followers with this I should be able to not just have more followers but also gain rewards.
COMMENTS
This one is actually the easiest, and to achieve this all I need to do is to dedicate an amount of time to engage with people by joining different contests from different communities to engage on their posts.
Reputation
This is actually the tricky part, because the more it increases it harder it gets and honestly the best way I can be able to achieve this is to stick with my Goals and remove its progress from my mind, at some point ill start to think whether it's not moving and that may probably decrease my morale to press on. So the best thing to do is to focus on my Goals.
~ Create a time bound
A time-bound objective is necessary because it offers a sense of urgency and a defined deadline for completing your goal. It is easy to delay or lose motivation to achieve your objective if you do not have a deadline or defined timetable. Setting a timetable helps to develop accountability and provides a tangible means to track progress toward the objective for this two months.
Step 3: Track Your Progress
It's one thing to have it all figured out, it's another thing to keep track of your progress which serves as a reminder not to sleep on my goals also keeps me motivated by the little progress and can be very effective and useful.
In conclusion, these goals are strictly based on the steps to make it a SMART GOAL. Without these steps achieving my goals will be difficult.
