Just like every year, it is quite common for people to do a kind of retrospective regarding the past year and through unique and even unforgettable moments, they can have great meaning in someone's life. Promises to lose weight, get a new job or simply start saving money are some of the things we promised to do differently the following year, but will we really be able to do it?
I remember that years ago, where I lived, it was quite common for people to go to the beach and make their promises for the coming year. A very common tradition was to jump the seven waves. Have you done this too? Well, I did it a few times and one of the things I asked for most was for a year to be good for both me and my family.
Well, between promises and personal goals, I would never imagine that I could start the year with an accident. I know that some reading friends already know what happened at my house when on the first day of 2024, there was a fire. Fortunately, no one in my family was hurt and we only suffered material damage. However, coincidentally, on the same day, a nephew of mine suffered an accident and since that day, his life changed completely.
An Accident That Completely Changed His Life
He was "playing", jumping with their friends on a small bridge in the city where he lives. But when he jumped, he fell badly and injured his neck, which left him quadriplegic. To this day I say that he was very lucky to still be alive, because the way he fell on his head almost killed him. You're starting to understand that 2024 didn't start off well for my family.
My nephew is still young, he is 24 years old and I believe that his situation will improve. Today he can raise his arm a little, but he still does not have complete control of his upper or lower limbs. It really is a complicated situation for his parents and it is difficult to imagine what life would be like for my son in a situation like that. But like I said, he's young and strong and I hope he can recover one day.
What Makes Me Happier in 2024?
I think I'm part of the people who want this year to end as quickly as possible. I confess that it wasn't as good a year as I imagined and intended, but just like every year, what helps us move forward is having the hope for better days. These last few days here at home have been moments of great trial, because in addition to having to live with the difficulties that life imposes on us, we also have to live with people around us wanting to outwit you().
I think the best thing that can make me happy this year is without a doubt that I have the gift of life and the lives of my children. In general, if my whole family. I am grateful for my life, because despite everything that happened in 2024, I am here with hope for better days for 2025. Being able to wake up and have another day alive is important to continue my journey.
Therefore, even though our lives have had many ups and downs throughout the year, we must be grateful for the air we breathe, for the life that God has given us. My children are the energy that always makes me want to move forward and just looking at them makes me reflect on how much it is still worth continuing and moving forward, facing the barriers and difficulties that life imposes on us. Life is something we should always celebrate. Better days will come, I have to believe in that and 2025 will be our year.

Assim como em todos os anos, é bem comum que as pessoas façam uma espécie de retrospectiva referente ao ano que passou e através de momentos únicos e até inesquecíveis, podem ter um grande significado na vida de alguém. As promessas de perder peso, conseguir um novo emprego ou simplesmente começar a guardar um dinheiro, são algumas coisas que prometemos fazer de diferente no ano seguinte, mas será mesmo que conseguimos?
Lembro que anos atrás, onde eu morava, é bastante comum as pessoas irem para a praia e lá fazer suas promessas para o ano que se aproxima. Uma tradição bem comum era de pular as sete ondas. Você também já fez isso? Bem, eu fiz algumas vezes e uma das coisas que eu mais pedia era de um ano ser bom tanto para mim, quanto para minha família.
Bem, entre promessas e metas pessoais, eu nunca iria imaginar que eu pudesse começar o ano com um acidente. Sei que alguns amigos leitores já sabem do que aconteceu em minha casa quando no primeiro dia de 2024, houve um incêndio. Felizmente ninguém se machucou da minha família e só tivemos o prejuízo material. Porém, coincidentemente, no mesmo dia, um sobrinho meu sofreu um acidente e desde aquele dia, sua vida mudou completamente.
Um Acidente Que Mudou Completamente Sua Vida
Ele estava "brincando", pulando com os amigos deles numa pequena ponte na cidade onde ele mora. Só que ao pular, ele caiu de mal jeito e machucou sua cervical, resultado disso o deixou tetraplégico. Até hoje eu digo que ele teve muita sorte de ainda está vivo, pois a forma como ele caiu de cabeça, quase o matou. Você já começa a entender que 2024 não começou nada bem para minha família.
Meu sobrinho ainda é jovem, tem 24 anos e acredito que ele poderá ter uma melhora em sua situação. Hoje ele consegue levantar um pouco seu braço, mas ainda não tem domínio completo de seus membros superiores e nem inferiores. Realmente uma situação complicada para os seus pais e é difícil imaginar como seria a vida de um filho meu numa situação como essa. Mas como eu disse, ele é jovem e forte e espero que ele possa se recuperar um dia.
O Que Me Deixa Mais Feliz em 2024?
Acho que eu faço parte das pessoas que querem que esse ano acabe o mais rápido. Confesso que ele não foi um ano tão bom quanto eu imaginava e pretendia, mas assim como todos os anos, o que nos ajuda a seguir em frente é ter a esperança de dias melhores. Esses últimos dias aqui em casa tem sido momentos de muita provação, pois além de ter que conviver com as dificuldades que a vida nos impõe, ainda temos que conviver com pessoas ao redor querendo te passar a perna.
Acho que a melhor coisa que pode me deixar feliz esse ano é sem dúvidas eu ter o dom da vida e a vida de meus filhos. De modo geral, se toda minha família. Sou grato pela minha vida, pois apesar de tudo que aconteceu em 2024, estou aqui com esperança de dias melhores para 2025. Poder acordar e ter mais um dia vivo, é importante para seguir minha jornada.
Portanto, mesmo que nossas vidas tenham tido muitos altos e baixos durante todo o ano, devemos agradecer pelo ar que respiramos, pela vida que Deus nos deu. Meus filhos são a energia que me faz sempre querer seguir em frente e só de olhar para eles, me faz refletir do quanto que ainda vale muito a pena continuar e seguir em frente enfrentando as barreiras e as dificuldades que a vida nos impõe. A vida é algo que devemos sempre celebrar. Dias melhores virão, eu tenho que acreditar nisso e em 2025 será o nosso ano.
