No matter the family, tradition and culture, the end of the year is full of festivities and to be able to celebrate all of them possible, you need to be well off financially or else, if you don't achieve what is in your plan, you need to do what is possible. so as not to let go blank. Sometimes we end up going overboard and in my case it can be understandable since my youngest son's birthday is on December 25th.
But unfortunately, as I have said on a few occasions, this year has been very difficult, especially now during this period when we should be focusing on celebrations. My wife and I are already worried about the beginning of the year, because before she went on vacation, a close colleague warned her that her place at school would be threatened, as a certified teacher would replace my wife.
She immediately went to the Department of Education, where she is responsible for dealing with this matter. She and two other teachers were in similar situations and the employee told her that they would only be able to see their situation in January. So, as @alinequeiroz is a hired teacher, by law, she can lose her position to a teacher who passed the exam. But she may have a chance to continue, but it will depend on some factors such as finding a school in need of a Portuguese teacher.
In addition to this problem that we will still resolve in January, there is another which is the work on the house where I live. I already said here that we live in a rented house and the owner of the house did a renovation on the garage, now we need to work on the backyard where there was a fire and there are so many things that we need to pay for and fix that we already know that the beginning of January will be very challenging. , as the debts only increase, as we are paying some things with the credit card and we need to be careful so that this does not turn into a snowball.
The Day the House Caught Fire
I'm not going to prolong this story, as it's a bit long, but right now I'm here making this post waiting for the bricklayer to come here and do the roof work. Unfortunately, there are people who don't keep their word. We paid half of the service in advance, as he needed to buy the paints, but we will not pay the rest until he finishes the entire job.
Because of these works, we cannot have a birthday like I would like for our son. But I know this is the result of a fire that happened on the first day of this year. Unfortunately the house here caught fire, but we were quickly notified by the neighbors and I was able to come and put out the fire. Practically the backyard was consumed by fire and there were boxes of clothes, toy boxes and a washing machine. Everything was lost.
The fire was already heading towards the bathroom, but I was able to be quick. That day will soon be a year old and despite having overcome this trauma, I think I will always remember that day. Due to a small mistake, I suffered this loss at the time and to this day we have not been able to finish renovating the house, because even though we are in the rented house, we know that this responsibility is ours, but as I said before, 3 works at the same time are not enough. we have the financial means to do it.
So, I recently spoke to the owner of the house and she agreed to postpone a project that involved plastering the walls that burned, but the other wall would be her responsibility. I would just jump at the opportunity to do everything at once, but right now we don't have the money for that. So, what we will do now would be the roof, which is to paint both the tiles and the hardware so that they do not rust.
Christmas contribution from My Family
With the low budget, we managed to make a good purchase of food for the month to last until January, if possible. As the supper was at my mother's house, we had few people to participate. My last-minute aunt, who was the only one who could go, didn't go, so the feast for supper was just a few dishes, but there were enough to please all 7 of us. My wife and I made the chicken sausage and dessert açaí with nest milk. It was very easy and delicious, everyone loved it.
Anyway, the future is uncertain for us with employment, but we have to be confident that my wife will continue to work, because at the moment, Brazil is not in a good time economically and being unemployed during this period is something I don't even want to imagine in this scenario. . I want this year to end quickly so I can leave all these bad events behind, however, I also need to face what will come in 2025.
Starting the year with free money is always a great way, but again we are going to spend the year in the red and we will do our best to survive with the little we still have here. On another occasion, I said that we made a good purchase of food here, anticipating the difficulties we would face ahead, but I think that just like every year, we will win more of these battles in life.

Não importa a família, a tradição e cultura, o fim de ano é cheio de festas e para poder celebrar todas possíveis, é preciso estar bem financeiramente ou então, caso não consiga o que está em seu planejamento, é preciso fazer aquilo que é possível para não deixar passar em branco. Às vezes, acabamos passando do limite e no meu caso pode ser até compreensível já que meu filho mais novo faz aniversário no dia 25 de dezembro.
Mas infelizmente, como eu havia dito em algumas oportunidades, esse ano foi bem difícil, principalmente agora nesse período em que deveríamos focar nas celebrações. Eu e minha esposa já estamos preocupados com o início do ano, pois antes dela entrar de férias, uma colega próxima avisou a ela que sua vaga na escola estaria ameaçada, pois uma professora concursada iria substituir minha esposa.
Imediatamente ela foi à Secretaria de Educação, onde é responsável por tratar sobre este assunto, foi ela e mais duas professoras em situações semelhantes e a funcionária disse para ela que só poderiam ver a situação delas em janeiro. Então, como @alinequeiroz é professora contratada, por lei, ela pode sim perder a vaga para um professor que passou no concurso. Mas ela pode ter chance de continuar, mas vai depender de alguns fatores como encontrar uma escola precisando de um professor de português.
Além desse problema que ainda iremos resolver em janeiro, existe outro que são as obras na casa onde moro. Já disse aqui que nós moramos numa casa alugada e a dona da casa fez uma reforma na garagem, agora é preciso mexer no quintal onde teve um incêndio e são tantas coisas que precisamos pagar e consertar que já sabemos que o início de janeiro será bem desafiador, pois as dívidas só aumentam, pois estamos pagando algumas coisas com o cartão de crédito e precisamos ter cuidado para isso não virar uma bola de neve.
O Dia em Que a Casa Pegou Fogo
Não vou prolongar essa história, pois ela é meio longa, mas nesse momento estou aqui fazendo esse post esperando o pedreiro vir aqui fazer o serviço do telhado. Infelizmente existem pessoas que não cumprem com sua palavra. Pagamos a metade do serviço adiantado, pois ele precisava comprar as tintas, mas não vamos pagar o restante enquanto ele não terminar todo o serviço.
Por causa dessas obras, nós não podemos fazer um aniversário como eu gostaria para o nosso filho. Mas sei que isso é resultado de um incêndio que aconteceu no primeiro dia deste ano. Infelizmente a casa aqui pegou fogo, mas rapidamente fomos avisados pelos vizinhos e eu pude vir e apagar o fogo. Praticamente o quintal foi consumido pelo fogo e tinham caixas de roupas, caixas de brinquedo e máquina de lavar roupa. Tudo foi perdido.
O fogo já estava indo para o banheiro, mas eu pude ser rápido. Esse dia em breve irá fazer um ano e apesar de ter superado esse trauma, acho que sempre irei lembrar desse dia. Por um pequeno erro, pude ter esse prejuízo na época e até hoje não conseguimos terminar a reforma da casa, pois apesar de que estamos na casa alugada, sabemos que essa responsabilidade é nossa, mas como eu disse antes, 3 obras ao mesmo tempo não temos condições financeiras de fazer.
Então, recentemente conversei com a dona da casa e ela aceitou adiar uma obra que era fazer o reboco das paredes que queimaram, mas a outra parede que seria responsabilidade dela. Eu apenas iria aproveitar a oportunidade de fazer tudo ao mesmo tempo, mas no momento não temos dinheiro para isso. Então, o que faremos apenas agora seria o telhado que é para pintar tanto as telhas como as ferragens para não enferrujar.
Contribuição do Natal da Minha Família
Com o orçamento baixo, conseguimos fazer uma boa compra de alimentos do mês para durar até em janeiro, se possível. Como a ceia foi na casa da minha mãe, tivemos poucas pessoas para participar. Minha tia de última hora que era a única que poderia ir, não foi, então o banquete para a ceia foi apenas alguns pratos, mas foram o suficiente para agradar a todos nós 7. Eu e minha esposa fizemos o salpicão de frango e a sobremesa de açaí com leite ninho. Foi bem fácil e gostoso, todos adoraram.
Enfim, o futuro é incerto para nós com o emprego, mas temos que ser confinantes de que minha esposa continuará trabalhando, pois no momento, o Brasil não está numa época boa economicamente e ficar desempregado nesse período é algo que não quero nem imaginar neste cenário. Quero que esse ano acabei logo para deixar para trás todos esses acontecimentos ruins, porém, também preciso encarar o que virá em 2025.
Começar o ano com dinheiro folgado, sempre é uma ótima maneira, mas novamente vamos passar o ano no vermelho e faremos o possível para conseguirmos sobreviver com o pouco que temos aqui ainda. Em outra oportunidade, disse que nós fizemos uma boa compra de alimentos aqui já prevendo as dificuldades que enfrentaríamos pela frente, mas acho que assim como todos os anos, vamos vencer mais essas batalhas da vida.
